in the start after patch will get realised you are 100% right, but after a month or two people will start understanding what to do, and the rifle will be 99.99% useless, its the only weapon which needs headshot, all others doesn't, as you will need at least 3 shots, and even that is if you headshot in the first two... especially now that insurgents dont get killed, and you are more restirected to stick with your squad every passing patch[which is good]White Rock wrote:Headshots are no longer nessary with the new system.

Sure you will not be able to get them as a sniper if they smoke themselfes and stay in cover and you shoot one of them...
But thats a good thing. It brings a counter to the sniper, a pretty intuitive counter. If you get sniped: smoke,revive and dont step out of cover.
More then half the time peapole WONT counter your antics and will just revive leading to you getting an instant kill on the guy, then proceding to snipe more of the squadmembers.
TL;DR "Killshots" are still in as long as the enemy dosent smoke or if you are snipering over a wall (cant see the body)

This patch sounds too good to be true, but will the PKM and RPK get a scope on them too?

Say you spot a squad with binocs.
Deploy:8seconds.
Fire. 2 seconds.
Take aim. 4 seconds.
And then the revive comes and BAM you got yourself a kill!
If they smoke the body just shoot some other guy foolishly trying to find you with his binocs. Then try to score a revive kill on him!
Also remember that if shot people react 2 ways.
1. Hit the dirt.
2. try to find the shooter.
3. Sprint for cover.
Both 1 and 2 are excellent opportunities since they might not be in cover and they're probably stationary.
As i said, people can fully counter snipers with smoke and perfect cover. but they wont ALWAYS smoke and they wont always cover.
Just because something is possible in theory doesn't mean it's actually doable or probable.

in my opinnion this medic stuff is maded for SNIPER'S only thats all :/ someone who love to be sniper will love much when he will go 50+ kills .... now meaning of the sniper / marksman will grove in sqad

dont worry thunderway, PR is not a sniper simulator, they are definitely support units and PR gameplay will never revole around them (no matter how many players ***** and moan otherwise )

What? While it still ignores some aspects of the problem (reviving after having a 7.62 sized bullet fly through your brain at the speed of sound is unrealistic and if anything bad for gameplay, no matter how you put it), the changes are at least steps forward.
PR has done it's very best at ignoring the snipers the majority of the time. Since they've taken away the advantage of having a spotter, and have left zeroing and ballistics it at a level where any fool that can point the crosshairs and wait 8 seconds can perform as well as the next person.
Nerfing the kit doesn't make the problem of kit missusage disappear, it worsens it but makes it less apparent. When snipers get real zeroing and ballistics requiring some technical knowledge, and through that need spotters to both find target ranges and lase, then their role will be much more refined, and use "properly".

I read the article here. It says that the optics that the Marines purchased are Trijicon ACOGs, not ELCAN optics.

just fyi, Elcan is on the M249 because it was the scope ready to go at the time... all factions LMG will be given the appropriate scopes in upcoming versions...

Collaborator spawn time is still way to long (2 mins). People should not have to look at a screen for that long under regular circumstances.
The duration should only be that long if arrested or if the Collaborator commits suicide. If killed by the enemy they should have the same re-spawn as everyone else. Make them restricted like regular medics if the worry is about them being used as shields, then there won't be too many of them. With a high re-spawn time there are barely any of them if any at all since missing a ladder is 5 minutes of death since there is no one else playing Collaborator to revive you.

You have got to be kidding me. Removed LB's from qwai??? Time to jump off a bridge, really. Removed tanks from kuffrah, qwai, what about kashan, quiling and all the others? Let's all walk. Come on, qwai will now epicly suck. Think about removing LB's twice.

On another note, I cannot wait to be able to select iron sights as an Officer, great work on that. Also the induction of automatic rifleman upon spawn will no doubt benifit those who know how to equip their squads.
