I used to have this problem.. Found out it happened whenever i wasnt connected to the internet. Even on Single player it would connect.. But everytime map loaded it would crash to the desktop.

if my memory dont mystake me its because resolation,dont know why but when its in 800 on 600 it crashes, just raise resolations, and it should work i think...

allright so my brother leaves for california june 11th and we have to get a full day in of PR 0.866 so you guys got till that date to release it

...lol less downloading. I would think ANY PR patch it worth a download time of maybe 30 minutes to you.

I personally wouldnt mind downloading the client. and then the patch when 1.5 comes out. At the end of the day. it will all be the same size wheter together or seperate.

Its been told before, 0.86 will be released before 1.5 patch and there will be a hotfix after bf2 patch release, the devs also recommend to not install 1.5 patch after this hotfix has been made if you wish to play PR

Just to update you all guys .....The Patch is pretty much ready to go out, we are now awaiting the release of the BF2 1.5 Patch , to ensure it will run with no errors. We have been testing the Beta with our Patch, and things look good.

To that end we hope to release a few days after the BF2 1.5 Patch.

There has been a lot of discussions on the Battlefield forums regarding the Battlefield 2 Update 1.50, so this is to let you all know what’s happening.


Update 1.50 is still in development, we have held back on releasing the update as we have become aware of and are taking preventative measures against 3rd party tools which have been severely affecting everyone’s playing experience recently by crashing dedicated servers, clients as well as allowing account spoofing. We hope you understand our decision to delay the release to resolve these issues rather than releasing early with a need to update again.

We are looking to release this update by Winter of this year.

sounds like a good update but i do have my concerns about reducing the accuracy of ak 47 even though it does have less accuracy in real life arent we forgetting that the ak47 is still one of the strongest? like in videos i have seen they test both ak 47 and the m16 for example and have found that the m16 was more acurate the ak47 actually had a greater damage affect when hitting a target (the m16 shot cleanly throguh the concrete block but the ak47 broke the block in half with a greater shatter) and if i rememebr the testers comments were the m16 is a great assault rifle but the ak is a better machine gun, so shouldnt the ak damage affect be increased to compensate for the reduction in accuracy as in real life?

The 1.5 patch has already been released Guybrush. PR are just trying to integrate with the patch.
Edit- Imishbah1234 the higher calibre weapons eg G3 and Ak 47 kill people in less shots than the m-16 i believe in PR.

iirc the AK47 ingame already does more damage than the 5.56 rifles
