On the Discovery Wings/Military Channel last night they had a show about a helo branch in afgahnistan. At one point during the war, some SF had been strapped to a Cobra ammo bay and lifeted up a mountain in order to capture some prisoners who were escaping. Maybe we should have some o' that!

I saw it also. Task Force Red Dog. They lifted two SF members at a time, they took out ammo bay panel and placed their feet on the slicks.

Yes it would. I wonder if those pics are real, or just a staged event portraying what happened. It could very well be real as one of the SF guys could have had a camera, and this sure would be something to take a picture of.

Good lord! Well, I suppose its better than what an Israeli patrol had to do in Lebanon. The AH-1 crew lifted them out by having the poor dumb ******** hang off of the skids by their arms two at a time.

I guess that would depend on what body part and what type of ground, object or parts thereof they landed on.

I believe they actually had a note in the manual for equipping the Cobra for the SPIES rig at one time.
