Awesome!! I have one very minor suggestion if you haven't already gotten too far to do it - sink the tracks a little bit into the terrain. You don't often see tracks sitting on a full height roadbed in an industrial area like a port. To me the rocky roadbed looks a bit... out of place.

Re: [Map] Siege at Ochamachira [WIP]
roads in ports usually are made of concrete or asphalt if there are roads mostly the surface exist of concrete or asphalt not dirt roads. Trucks get stuck in them and you get nature made speed bumps. and if you want to keep the dirt roads make them a bit lower than the buildings. sand always become more compact when it is laying there for a few years you can see a port will fill it up but if it is that kind of port they should have concrete or asphalt surfaces.

So almost all the action is going to take place around the docks? That's all you're showing us, so that's what I assume.

Re: [Map] Siege at Ochamachira [WIP]
yeah...the whole battle will take place in the industrial zone with one team in a purely defensive posture and the other attacking...
we will see how it goes but im really hoping it will be a nice showcase for deployable assets we have and some more that are on the way...

Sounds good. The fighting would be constricted to a small area though.[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:yeah...the whole battle will take place in the industrial zone with one team in a purely defensive posture and the other attacking...

Let me guess, your the kind of player that leaves a server if he's not on the team with the attack chopper and cannot swap, and only joins maps with attack choppers?Captain Mactavish wrote:This map should get atk chopper.

I don't think that warranted mary.Mary.au wrote:Let me guess, your the kind of player that leaves a server if he's not on the team with the attack chopper and cannot swap, and only joins maps with attack choppers?
I want an attack chopper on Kozelsk, and I'm sure you know that I do not fit in to the above category...

Have no idea how the actual gameplay format will turn out..Jackastor0 wrote:This map looks great, Im a big Insergency map fan, I think that would be the only change i would make make this map a insergency map. =)
We dont really have a defend mode at this point and I really want to avoid having any flags at all..
the objective will be to "debase" the defenders ....simply put..
will need alot of testing, naturally..

It would be cool to have a reverse insurgency map, where the US has to defend their own base.[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:Have no idea how the actual gameplay format will turn out..

heh, insurgents attacking a base could be fun. what about that gametype where after a certain time the defending team can retake flags? would be fun here, after half an hour the defending team gets tanks and helicopters

I liked that mode, and with a centralised defensive base at the start, the counter attack would be interesting.
