I was flying a huey in an insurgent map. So everybody get abord and I slowly take off and go to the location they asked me to go. So I do my approch and start hovering near the small cliff while some of them start to jump down. Then I accidentaly touched the cliff and my chopper rolled.

But! It dosent end they, I put reverse trottle and manage to not blow up, but while doing this, I crushed the one that jumped out of the huey. Then, I hit the other cliff at the other side, and roll the other side, crush some more of my team mate, I jump out and finaly blow up with my huey.

Result: Only 1 teamate managed to survive.

That was... embarasing

ROFLL!!!!!
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

I was flying the trans huey in Jabal. I was doing pretty good and an entire squad jumped into my helo. They told me they had a HAT and Spec Ops kit but they weren't worried about me crashing because it was an hour into the round and I hadn't lost a helo yet. So I got sorta a ego boost and went to land exactly were the asked (at South Bridge). So I fly nicely and avoided a few deaths by AA and APC. I reach my LZ and land on the dirt. As any pilot experiences when they land, I skidded forward but it was no big deal... Until I saw the mine...It was too late.

The squad didn't bash on me too hard and agreed to let me fly them again. I flew around the island to get to dam. Im going too fast approaching dam and try to slow down (quickly). I end up with my nose pointed straight up. I try correcting myself and fly directly into a cliff.

I fly much, much better now.

I guess 3 days ago when I had only started playing, it was the level with the aircraft carrier and I saw a 'Heli Transport' squad pop up, so I nodded and clicked it and joined. The guy tells me to get a Huey, so I quickly run across, get the pilot kit and climb into a helicopter on BF2 for the second time. I feel confident, I mean it's only flying a helicopter, right? The Huey gets filled in literally seconds, and people are barking orders "Go to docks!" - "No, go to hotel!" etc..

I got so under pressure that I forgot to wait for the heat-up, I pushed down 'W', the helicopter banks to the side, chopping up 2 guys, and proceeds to smash into another chopper full of people, blowing both choppers up full of people and killing 2 random guys who were running towards another chopper.

I just left the game as everyone shouted abuse and gave several reprots, and decided to look for a helicopter guide, which I have been using to practice, and now I am able to fly.

Bad times, though..

I am really good when it comes to flying jets and helicopters so I was on map with Brits and PLA. I joined the Brits and I saw no one was in the jet so I got in it waiting for it warm up then I scooted my way up on the runway then some how I went in reverse but I also went forward then the jet did a barrel roll on the runway then crashed.

"GET OUT YOUR WEAPON FFS"

"I DONT HAVE ANY!"

"Why do you have a pilot kit?"

"Oh."

yesterday I made a risky revive to get our squadleader back up, before I had really cleared the area. Sure enough, right after I revived him we got sprayed by a SAW.

After that I got a hefty bark at me for not remembering the new medic changes :/

sneaking up on somebody on a map, a perfect flanking maneuver jumping out of cover at the perfect moment to notice you have forgotten to reload and all you get is a metal click...

So many of these mistakes could have been prevented if more of you silly people read the manual.

Devs should make it a requirement to play.

I accidentally placed an IED on our cache after getting more ammo, then I switched weapons, only I used my mouse wheel and clicked, and the Weapon chooser went away before i could switch, so i blew up our cache...

On Bi Ming our SL was going away on the toilet and we were having a little bit fun with his body
(use your imagination) and then while our whole squad except our marksman was spending time at least 2 enemies open up on us and chuck grenades while we were follying around.
We got blasted into oblivion.
Our SL asked WTF had happened. Our marksman survived too and we managed to link up with him later :)

At Operation Archer my squad was in the village and had just took out a cache.
We were waiting for a Heli or something don´t remember. To pass time we were jumping over one of those pipe pyramides and one of us got stuck so we tried to give him a grappling hook, doesnt work.
After that we tried pushing him away but that just resulting in another one getting stuck.
So we tried killing them and reviving them, but then I (the only medic) got stuck.

While we were laughing about it an Insurgent(s) came up, killed 2 guys but we managed tho shoot him (them) down, but as i was stuck with the medic kit we couldn´t revive them.
So that was 2 down, 3 stuck and 1 fully functional.
Fortunatly (spell check) our SL manged to set a Rally Point so we didnt lose so much time.
If Something in a plan might go wrong you bet that it will go wrong in a most unpleasant way. -Murphy´s Law

Most recent:

Leading a squad of experienced players (including myself, been playing regularly since .5) as Taliban on Korengal. We had stealthily snuck up the stone cliff to outpost and were preparing to nade the **** out of the defenders.

Unfortunately I had been playing some Counterstrike earlier in the evening...

I pulled out my nade with left click and held the button down to prepare the throw and start the verbal countdown for the rest of the squad. Guess who chucked the nade straight into the wall he was crouching behind?

Luckily I only killed myself, the rest of the squad cleared the outpost.

When I was on Muttrah on my second day of PR: We were at the petrol station with another squad and as our luck goes the US APC comes around the corner, squad leader goes "Sins shoot the APC with your LAT". Promptly following the order I led down by the wall so not to get seen and fire. Screen goes black and a lot of teamkill notices go up. Turns out I had led down and forgotten about deviation I hit the wall lol and killed about 8 friendlies :-(
