There was one time when I first started playing... I snuck up behind a sniper and was contemplating how to kill him. I decided I would play it safe, so I pulled out my rifle, switched it to automatic, and scoped in on him. After unloading my entire clip, I realized that the recoil of the gun had made me miss every shot, and he turned around and knifed me. Fail.

'Nikolai[NL wrote:;1062210']sneaking up on somebody on a map, a perfect flanking maneuver jumping out of cover at the perfect moment to notice you have forgotten to reload and all you get is a metal click...
Happens to me all the time :p

Whats even worse is when its an enemy sniper you're about to counter-snipe. You're both lining up your shots and you get yours off before him.......but *click* and you go bye.

I didn't feel like a noob in this particular moment, but I guess the guy who was involved did.

On Qwai, I was involved in a firefight with my squad near the Estate when suddenly a Stryker popped up and stopped right next to us, giving me somewhat cover from the US bullets.
I heard that the guys in the Stryker had mumble so I said:

"Stryker, there are alot of enemies on your left in the hills!! Light them up!!!"

He said: "Okay thanks!" and turned his .50 cal right to the US soldiers and fired at them....he made two teamkills while we ran away...

One time I was an SL on Kashan and I flipped over a truck, full of my squad members, on one of the mountains.

Well uhh, since I'm only playing for a week now,I had two or three big noobage times...

1. Driving an APC like crazy, smashing it in a building flipping it upside down, killing all of my team...

2. Being a medic, reviving a dude and not healing him, he was screaming on VOIP: "God damn i need you here, you have to heal me!!!", and I'm replying: "Well you wouldn't need me if you weren't so clumsy and get hit every second", of course I forgot about the fact that you have 9% energy when you are revived...

3. Sniping my own men in the back of the head a couple of times.. heheh, although, it was kinda nice to see them make those flips when you get hit in the back of the head...

Now, my next ocurrance is offtopic, but i need to say I got at least something done right.

There were reports of a sniper in sector A7 in muttrah city I believe, in that sector are mountains (this happened minutes after the APC flip), I informed my squad leader that I'm going there to check it out, he didn't want to go with me. After quite a long walk I saw enemy legs on the top of the mountain... Damn I was happy, so my plan was to make way up there without him seeing me and kill him. It was a good climb. I was about 10 ingame meters behind him when he turned to my position. My adrenaline went up and I had an instant reflex, I actually proned b4 he could see me. He turned back, and i made the last 10 meters. I was just about to switch to my knife, and kill him when i notice theres another guy up there... I started screaming and started shooting like crazy, when i killed the two i noticed there was another frekin' sniper!!! I screamed some more and killed him too. I collected 3 headshots with an MP5, yes I was a crewman attacking 3 snipers. I pushed the VOIP button and said: "I just killed three snipers on the hill", suddenly the squad was: "OMG way to go", "Bravo!"... My fame was ended once they came back and killed me and my squad, of course making us want another retribution, finally killing them and celebrating we actually did it, even though we were ambushed by infantry while in an APC, making it easy, and finally killing them from their backs again.

Shot an insurgent which wasn't looking at me.
Remember that you get more points for restraining them.
Go do that and just as I punched him he shoots me kidney out me  (if you know what I mean)
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

When i realised that i had completely forgotten to deploy trigger-orders in the first AOR plan used, C5 B1.

When i realised how much i had failed to explain the importance of the defense to the squad holding offices, C6 B2.

When i realised how many different orders i actual had issued to the reserve squad deployed in the East Leopard AOR, C6 B2.

When i realised that the same reserve squad simply should have moved straight West, along the wall after the completion of the Spawn-Asset in the Safe zone of East Leopard AOR, C6 B2.

When i realised how boring those static shooting-sessions on Qwai River actually were, C5.

When i realised how wrongfully my expectations of the squads self-starting abilities actually were, C5.

When i realised how bureaucratic the tournament administration was in cases were i wanted to kick players from my team, C5.

When i realised the lack of psychological knowledge i had about the rebellious PR type, C5.

When i realised how much i had failed to create a team sized cohesion, C5.

When i realised that the force crossing Ghost Train River wasn't strong enough to punch through in first attempt, C6 B3?
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

air crashing my sukhoi Su-25 into a friendly MiG-29 at Kashan, and it was kinda my fault, i was dodging AA like crazy after bombing bunkers, and flew straight up into the MiG, imagine how all my team felt for destroying their biggest 2 assets, and imagine how embarrassed i got.

hmm... Tried turning a HMMV so I can get out of the base. I hit a LB. I say WTF in team chat. Go my way... as I commented with my squad ("what the hell happened?). Then I said "Well, at least I didn't blow it up". Just as I finished saying that:
GoGuapsy [teamkills] xxxxxxx
me and the xxxxxxxx guys say "wtf" on team chat.
GoGuapsy [teamkills] yyyyyyy
again, same wtf thing.

BANING! GoGuapsy for being an asshat!

yeah... luckly i got back a few rounds later as the SL of the best squad in Korengal Valey :-D

Karbala-Insurgency.

having secured my bomb car and having found a nice safe spot to hide, I awaited a US Hummer or Stryker.
A team mate insurgent hops in my car and asks for a ride to a currently active cache.
After I tell him, No, this is a bomb car i feel bad and so offer him a lift halfway there, which he accepted and I proceed to do, I drop him off, no harm no foul.
I return to my hiding post only to see in team chat "APC spotted south of the cache!'
Oh my, I was just there....
So i put the pedal to the metal and speed of south, only to run headlong into said APC, which filled me with holes from a good 600 yards.
arghh, holding onto that bombcar for the ultimate suprise attack and wasting it to a stryker from half a click away..

Ok, so me and some of my clan mates were playing on asad khal, and i strayed off a bit from my squad. I figured i could flank the enemy from behind, so started heading up. As i rounded the corner i saw a guy laying down behind a wheel barrel. So i came up with this whole plan to sneak up and flank him. As i was moving around and coming up behind his position i switched to auto, jumped around the corner and sprayed. Turns out it wasnt a guy, it was just the wall from far away. So 5 minutes after devising my plan not only did i realize i had just battled with the wall, i gave away my entire position.

Yesterday i started a squad on the TG server as a waiting room. I had no intention of leading a squad as i only started playing again last week, and only played 5 games of pr prior to that. The squad filled up and soon enough it was full. I was on a really sunny map featuring the essex and a big mosque static. To be nice i hitched a ride to the mainland and dropped a rally so my fellow waiters could do whatever.

But the guys started nagging that i should lead the squad and advance.. so really reluctantnly i advanced on the enemy position to support the right flank of another squad. I end up ordering my squad into a 4/5 floor building which had an identical one next door. Theres a bunch of friendlies in there... or so i thought, turns out it was a mec squad that had just overrun the position inbetween me looking at the map.

It seems we were both oblivious, observing eachother until one of my more experienced squadmembers starts calling out baddies and we open fire. 5 minutes of fighting and dying between the two buildings there's a pause and i hear arabs downstairs, i toss grenades and kill a few. Head to the roof only to see a bunch of ropes being tossed up there. Luckily one squadmember had a saw and mowed down the 4 guys that appear. A grenade takes him out as i take cover on the other side of the wall.

Now i hear fighting and dying below the roof, lots of mec voices. I am now alone. Toss a grenade down the stairs that kills a bunch, shoot another as i make my way down. One guy appears in a door, i aim and.. click.

Rally point down, all flags overrun.

Yeah, i felt like a noob for leading my guys into that deathtrap. I left squad soon after. :P

Lol you shouldve told em' that it was ur first time SLing... it DID take me a long time to be a good SL...

but one of the biggest rule in PR is CHECK YOUR MAP! SMs AND SLs! this way you guys wouldve noticed eachoter sooner and probably would win the round!

cheers! that was funny1
