Re: PR population low??
PR is more popular than ever before. What a hell hes talking about? At prime time I can find about 10 full servers. Sounds very popular to me. Surely there is a moments when pll are sleeping or working what causes temporally player count drop.

From our stats reports, yes PR is not doing bad at population at all. It took a slight dip in numbers when school started but its back up to normal now.
I think maybe the OP has some technical issue thats not showing him all servers?

I feel something has changed. Number's spread over more servers, primetime peaks later ending earlier etc. The amount of players might not have changed, but im fairly certain demographics did.
And never trust statistics.

Re: PR population low??
My online hours have been out of whack lately due to work at home and going to the range. Some days I'm online in the early afternoon, some days I can't get online until well past midnight. I can usually find a good selection of servers, but I prefer not to use anything with a ping over 250.
I had noticed a small drop in server population once school started back up, but as others have mentioned that seems to have started evening back out again. There is also the release of the 1.5 patch, and some players/servers haven't updated yet. Within the next couple of months I would expect more and more players to update and be logging in again.
If you're having trouble finding populated servers, maybe try another time or day. You should also confirm your filters, and if you have any restrictions active such as ping or player count, you can try lifting those restrictions to see what else is available. Hope that helps.

Re: PR population low??
The only time I ever have trouble finding a good server is before going on with 5/6 clanmates, and that's because all the good ones are too full, not empty. Maybe there's more of a problem in the US, but every time I've ever been on PR there's been no issue with a lack of players.

I wouldn't say the population is low, but the tactical level of players sure is low during daytime over here. Until the English and American servers starts to fill it can be quite boring. Especially these last few days I've jumped from server to server then disconnected in frustration over the other players. PR should not be played like vBF2.

Oh yeah - I think the most obvious reason is that school is in session. The "What's Your Age?" thread pretty much says it all. But then again, this is the season for the more "mature" to be recruited and trained, prepared to lead when summer rolls around again. Also a good time to recruit anyone.
Metaphorically speaking, if our young-uns would take PR to school with them, it would be a big help. Since many of them are dating, perhaps they can introduce their girlfriends to PR, and they in turn can turn their girlfriends on to PR (just another way to meet young men with raging hormones!).
Us "mature" folk can talk it up at work or at the office - we all know a few fellows who admit to playing "just a game or two now and then"...riiiight!
Beat feet for some fresh meat!

Re: PR population low??
I remeber back in the days where there where only like 3 servers that where full and the rest was all in limbo. Now i see 10 or more filled up. School just started back up as well. So its depends on timing really. Plus the newbie vanila players are starting to thin out of this game beecuse of the massive learning curve which they are not willing to accept. Which is good news for us.

Re: PR population low??
Well when BF2 made their PR ads, there was a spike of new players for a while, but then it died down a bit. PR isn't for everyone, but it is definitely one of BF2's most popular mods. There are still usually 5 or so servers with 40+ players on them, which is great.

Maybe it's good news, but it's surely not only vanilla players. Alot of people play PR like a standard action shooter. In fact most people do, especially on European servers. That's why I'm glad I have a day job in this timezone.

Are you kidding me? Theres at least 5 full servers at any given time. Remember back in the day when TacticalGamer actually had an abundance of open slots?

Yeah, thats whats got me here.
To all the dudes who haven't seen any loss in people i've seen it. Mainly because i used to sit here all day switching from cpu to tv with my gf all day so i know when its changed. Cause i've been here all day. That whats your age thread says it all, I'm 31 so no school. 70% of the people who play pr is teenages so there you go. The biggest drop i've seen IS during school hours and sleep hours before they used to stay up now the all have to get up in the morning. I'm 90% this is what it is. Maybe a few from madden and nhl coming out on ps3.
Maybe advertisement could bring more players in. It starts with that. Not this thread.
