Do you have the Bf2 ram fix? I realize this was supposedly fixed in 1.5, but I'm not sure if it applies to the pr.exe. Otherwise see if lowering your textures to medium helps at all.

pr_sp.exe is calling bf2.exe - even on Basrah 64 it's under 2Gig (Real + Virtual) - i don't think it's a cause.

Better try running everything on mid and a smaller res than yout screen is capable of i.e. 1650 instead 1920 with 24 TFT

Mine also crashes to desktop when I deploy. I have tried turning down Video settings and all and it just goes out to desktop when I am in the singleplayer setup menu.

Tried lowest of the lowest resolutions and still crahed. Even with the smallest map.

SP is pretty unstable this patch imo, I've had up to 4 patches in some 30 minutes. md5tool mismatches show up everyone in a while when you're playing on the test server.

Quite a disappointment so far! Loads of downloads which didn't work, finally got the manual install version and got the stuff in and all I get is a CTD every time I try to play.

I select a map, it starts to load, gets to 13% and it's back to the desktop. Not Ready for Prime Time, I would say. I suppose I will try to lower my settings, but the comments above indicate that this is useless...

Not that it will help solve your issue but so far I've had no crashes on the two machines I have it loaded on - including running with all settings at high on a Vista PC. Guess it's just luck of the draw(or PC set up).

Seems so. I actually hadn't installed BF2 on my Vista machine, but put it in for just this mod, patched it up to v.1.50 and installed the 'pr 0874 core' set-up, then the 'pr sp 087' setup, then the manual install levels, since the auto install wouldn't work (or I had the wrong target).

Of course, vanilla BF2 works fine.

You haven't installed PR v0.874 Levels, hence the PRSP won't install, since you haven't got PR v0.874 properly installed ;) .

You need everything here, and installed in this order:
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2 v1.41
Battlefield 2 v1.5
Project Reality v0.874 Core
Project Reality v0.874 Levels
Project Reality SP v0.87 Core
Project Reality SP v0.87 Levels

Well, I will check on that! That 1.7 Gb download doesn't include levels? Wow!

Anywho, I have gotten one map working and have played the SP without doing anything more than entering the game as 'default player/play offline' rather than as myself... now to look for those MP levels.

I have now installed the multiplayer maps and cannot find the correct pathway to play PRSP. Previously, I would start the BF2.exe and go to community/custom/prsp and could play a few maps with bots. Now, after installing the MP maps I get an error there which tells me to use the PR.exe, which takes me to multiplayer only...

Yes, I'm confused. There is evidently no PRSP.exe.
