Can bots EVER get better?

I am just wondering, because the bots in BF2 are soo horrible, they cannot land helicopters, air planes, they do NOT understand the art of teamwork. They are just pitifull... Is there any way they can be improved?

No bot can ever match the ingenuity or cunning of a human being. They can be coded to simulate this but in the end, they are nothing but puppets, made to act a certain way. PR is really made for the 32 vs 32 human experience, don't expect teamwork from bots on a game (Vanilla BF2) never designed to support such a thing

I know a few people who are out maneuvered by a bot, but these are certainly the exception to the rule

Yeah, but the bots in games like the call of duty's and other games that are purely role playing, the bots in those games can use teamwork and hide behind objects to take cover, and that's because there programed too. Why can't BF2 ever be like that? I AM think because of it's engine and that sorta thing. I guess BF2 was created for online play, and they decided to throw in the crumy singleplayer for whenever someone couldn't access the internet or something.

Yeah that seems like a good reason why, and I think that if BFBC2 has bots, they'll be better than BF2/2142s. And I doubt BFBC2 will have bots.

Hey, is there a way I can redo there paths? Like make them walk in different directions exstead of the same? Is there like a PR editor I can download to do this?

If games dont have single player then some of countries wont give them an age rating and therefore can be illigal to sell, although i think that loophole is being fixed.

Cmon people this is and old engine , you cant expect a miracle from it . Even this what is done is a big step. In my opinion ofcourse . If you want good teamwork play On internet if you want to have fun play SP , i would recommend Traning server but that is pure raping base (mostly from US side) and you would probs get pissed off alot of times xD

Some-one needs to map the Human brain dammit so we can kill bots.

Hopefully we can block the whole emotional thing from them.

Just think of the life of a cognitive AI who has to play as an insurgent, that would be nothing less then torture.
