Hey guys.
I had major connection issues and i tried everything but finally i fixed the connection error. If ur using Vista and Wlan try Vista AntiLag software. Works for me. No connection errors what so ever after Vista AntiLag. Peace out.

Seriously does everyone get this problem and just press escape to resolve it? I've spent over 2 months trying to find a solution to this problem and nothing has worked for me. This problem has also occurred with the latest patch, which is why I'm asking.

Well i had the problem that gave "There is a problem with your connection..." message after map load. The escape button didnt help me. Neither did any solution i found from forums (update punkbuster, reinstall game.... update this.... reinstall that... ect ect...).

But as i said on the previous post Vista AntiLag did the trick for me. It removes the "lagspike" that appears in vista every 60 seconds or so. No problems in Project Reality now.

And sorry bout my English... Im from Finland :-)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am plugged directly so Vista-Anti lag wouldn't work for me.

What I did to solve my connection problem was turn EAX off, set my sound quality down to medium from high and set the sound quality input on mumble down to 5 from 10.

Finally got it fixed, after 2 months of frustration and trying every fix in this forum and dozens of others I can finally play PR proper.

The solutions you find for the problem out there can help, but they don't help in a definite way. The root of my problem was outdated ethernet drivers, once I updated them the problems went away. Since I exhausted so much time with every other fix to not work, I can safely say that most likely the root of the connection problems come from outdated ethernet drivers.

I understand you totally Revo.

I have had the evil yellow text for over a year now and ALL the suggestions posted have only brought me false hope.

Man, i wish there was just a "Fix it" button on computers.

I might be joining you on that farm buddy!

Hi again,

Just adding my info for the community to work with ;)

SYSTEM:
OS = Windows XP Home edition
Service Pack 3
Intel Core (TM) 2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz
2 GB RAM
Graphics= SAPPHIRE Radeon X1550 (512MB I think)

NB: Ive had the problem for over a year now (since 0.7), and during that time i have moved house. So i have actually changed routers and provider. So im thinking its either a problem with the MOD or the Hardware. I have no idea anymore.

Its a great Mod, just a shame these problems occur.

Any help would be great! ;)

Thanks

Hey Folks.
So since I got a new PC, I wasnt able to play PR due to a number of various problems, which I mostly handled to manage by some online research.
But now I have a Problem which seems really weird to me:
When playing on 10th Mountain and Coffeeshop server and using VOIP, I get disconnected as soon as I loaded the map. This does not happen when turning off VOIP.
However, when playing on the Virginiaserver, I can use it without being disconnected.
I tried this while all servers were almost full, so more than 60 players were playing.

But now it gets even more weird: I was at a LAN-Party last week and while on it, I wanted to show my friends the awesomness of Project Reality and thought //Hey, lets try whether I can connect to Coffeeshop with VOIP now//
And it worked! I played perfectly fine for 1,5 rounds until I manually disconnected, so even after loading a new map, it didnt have any problems.
Being back home, I wanted to play again, just to face the same problem: Virginia works, 10th mountain and Coffeeshop dont.

This wouldnt be a problem of course, (I mean I can play on Virginia, should be fun) but because I have RL-relations to regulars on Coffeeshop, Id really like that to work.

So do any of you have an Idea what I can do to solve this?
I mean seriously, to me, it just doesnt seem logical and I dont know anything what I could do except reinstalling windows (I use Windows 7 by the way), so I would really appreciate your help on this one.

Hi guys I've had this problem of connection interrupted on nearly all servers. The only server i could seem to join was the CHICAGO servers. However i found something that has let me connect to any servers, so i thought I'd register and tell you all in case it helps someone else.

All I do is when i start the game, I go into audio settings and disable VOIP in game. This seems to then let me join any server without problems. Once I'm in game I simply go back to the options and re-enable VOIP and it works fine.

This is a pain as you will have to turn it off quickly at the end of each round to allow you to load the next map, but still. At least I can play in more than one server now.

Hope this works for some other people :D

Wow, so many solutions, I've been having this kind of thing in Battlefield 2 and 2142 and now also in PR. Since I really love PR, I thought I should really fix it, cause it's a kickass game, well, it's late where I live atm, but after reading, I've got alot of enthusiasm, pressing esc on the message, turning VOIP off before joining and back on in-game..
Thank you all for the happy thoughts, even if they wont work, it's ok, u filled my head with happy thoughts about me playing PR lag-free. :D

It's always annoying when your in a dangerous situation, like trying to knife/ambush a squad down, then you make 1 shot, alert them all, and then connection probs, the next thing you see is "No medics around? .. etc" Also hate it when I'm on rooftops, accidents happen alot xD
