Maxfragg wrote:lovely vehicle, but i never understood why people get nervous about every autogrenadelauncher, its basicly just a .50 with limited range and splash damage, nothing ubercool, appart from shooting technicals and bombercars the .50 will be far more usefull than the AGL
Fear factor. Very nice for pinning infantry I'd have thought.

I never seen this vehicle before. This is very huge and ugly isn't it ? We will crush others APC with this.

Nice job.

Muttrah I take it you mean? Dont see why not, can get to the shore line much quicker than the LAV-25 (not to mention 100x more realistic than a LAV-25 for a Amphibious Assault) and also pretty fast on flat ground too. Only thing it will probably struggle against is APC vs APC combat but will need to see what the MAs say here.

with HEDP rounds it would actually do quite well at that rhino. but then again MA's know their stuff so would trust them to say what round etc it uses.

First of all, that is pure secks. Can't wait to see an awesome skin on it!

I'd love to hear what the MAs say about it, but as I understand it AAVs were a primary mode of transport during the invasion of Iraq (well, both of them) for Marine infantry. Certainly they're more realistic than using the LAV-25 for amphibious assaults.

You did a superb job there, motherdear! Always missed the AAVP on those amphibious assault maps. Thank you very much!

With regards to the Mk-19's 40mm high velocity, high-explosive dual-purpose grenade in comparison to the 25mm HEI-T (high explosive incendiary tracer, not HEAT) round of the Bushmaster:

25mm HEI-T / 40mm HEDP
Casualty Radius: 5m / 15m
Armor Penetration: INA / 51mm
Max Effective Range: 2000m (tracer burnout) / 1600m
Max Range: 3000m (self-destruct / air-burst) / 2200m

Not as much range on the Mk-19 and you really have to "lob" them to get them there, but when they do, more people get to share in the experience.

One thing though, can you simulate the cramped rides and horrible smell of diesel too? ;)
Step 1: Move your computer into your closet
Step 2: Get a large and preferably old and noisy fan.
Step 3: Place diesel fuel in spill resistant coffee cup in front of fan.

Also, insurgents will be given apricots to throw.
