[AAR] Scimitar Submarine

Has anyone ever noticed that the scimitar is like a submarine? Well, I use it as an advantage whenever I'm in it to move around the battlefield quickly. With an experienced driver, the scimitar can get across even the biggest river on AlBasrah.

One time, my gunner and I were moving around VCP on AlBasrah when we saw Big Red coming up behind us. If we made a run across the bridge he would have ended up getting us anyways, so being the driver what do i do? I take the scimi & drive it straight thru the river to the west of VCP, and Big Red follows us in and dies xD


Another Scimitar lol moment :

Driving by hotel and having a bombcar behind us. Cross the bridge onto Island then we tried to ram our way thru the fence into the big alley going N to S on the island (this has happened to me 5 times now so it must be a glitch). When we hit the fence, the car is right behind us. The fence ends up shooting us about 200m straight up into the air and the bombcar drives right past us. About 10-15 seconds later we land on our tracks in the same spot, and the bombcar drove down the alley about 25m realizing we weren't there, so he got out and started looking around. Then he saw us fall behind him, and we just blew him up. The scimitar had virtually no damage done to it and we managed to keep it alive for the entire round using our newly-learned tactics.

lmao, im going to try the first one now and if i die in my scimitar i wont be a happy man :twisted:
but the second one happens alot lol its fun to watch aswell

remember, its bugged, sometimes you will die some minutes after travelling underwater :grin:

LOL that would be epic if it could fly like a jet, hover like a heli, and swim like a submarine

This has been possible for months now. Its just not common to see because the assets are so valuable that its never thought of as a logical move and the only training server it can be tried on is almost never seen.
The damage, however, will start in about 10 seconds once submerged, not minutes.

what i meant is that after crossing river, minutes later, scimi started suffering damage and blew as if it was underwater, while i was rolling in the middle of the desert

Damn, these bugs can be really funny sometimes. I remember being inside an apc or some other vehicle while trying to drive through the doadblocks on Kashan, when the vehicle got teleported about more than a kilometer above the ground, then somebody got the idea to get out and request a pilot kit so we can land with chutes. Obviously, it was a fail.
Once on Basrah, an warrior or scimitar was firing at me and my fellow mujahideen from the sky and we simply couln't find it. Must have been infidel stealth technology..

yeah, on local server with only 1 player :roll: oh, and since when rpg does damage in the way water do?
