motherdear;1179861']but then again MA's know their stuff so would trust them to say what round etc it uses.
the marines used em to assault an nassiriyah and fallujah, so to be honest there's not a whole lot they can't be used on haha
Maybe even remove a Bradley on Fallujah in favour of a LAV, then have AAVs spawn in :)
i mentioned this a while back, but got my *** chewed from people saying the bradleys "represent the US Army's contribution to the assault on Fallujah"...

if its going to have a mobile command post role, then they also make mobile command posts for ; strykers, hummers, bradlies. ( instead of siting in a tac trailer you can look out at the battle feild and make quiker decisons.

there are also medical evac varianst for those also, maybe add it to the logistical(support sqd) as a way to pull up to a wounded man, medic gets out, epinphrines him, gets him in the Medevac Vic, and takes him back to to the FO or main FOB and he can only get fully healed there.

then theres a choice, take him back on a supply convoy to the front, or the squad has to come and get him. floats tickets adn would require team work between squads to cover the medivac. can also do helo medivacs that way, medic gets him up, pull back to a rally, adn a MedEvac comes and gets him.

The Clan Web Page is http://1-120thcab.aowc.net/ I didnt join the Army, I joined the Infantry, The Army is just my support, :) thanks POG's for the support :) (BTW, not my real RR, this is a RR for my clan, because this is a GAME.)

If you don't listen to Rhino, he'll just beat it into your head until you get it. For serious.

Pretty excited to see some skins for these babies!

Ahh it is great to see the amphtrac finally on its way to PR XD

Will this thing be taken out by one RPG as these things got ripped apart by them in Iraq?

Here's a video with some AAVs in Fallujah:
LiveLeak.com - CNN Report about US Marines in Fallujah, Iraq 2004.

I'm curious to hear from a MA/Marine about the use of AAVs in non-amphibious operations and where that leaves the LAV-25.

i'm not sure what you mean; the amtrac is primarily a grunt transport vehicle and not a whole lot else - due to its *cough* aluminium armour *cough*. sporting its mk19 and .50, it'll give fire support for the marines who've disembarked.

the LAV is an inf. fighting vehicle; has better armour, armament and it's faster. although it can transport marines, the aav7 can carry more.

LAVs are kind of the "armoured spearhead" of things like a regimental combat team, used in armoured recon or QRFs. where as you see amtracs in convoys (in 2003) etc

so in PR, using Fallujah as an example, both vehicles will be giving marines fire support, but the LAV will be quicker to respond to things as reconning areas, extracts and also useful for strong-pointing; where as the amtrac will (hopefully) stick with the squad it transports throughout....if this clears things up. but i'm no expert...

Shouldn´t this vehicle be bigger? Looks very great, cant wait to drive it, but the human model next to the vehicle looks kind of big? :)

it's the right size all right, compared several ref pictures to find the proper size for it.

The AAVP7A1 is unbelievably big. First time i saw one i was like "woaaah!!!" and on top of that there was an LAV25 next to it so the comparison blew my mind even further.
