Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
The Chinese look like '80s Era US Soldiers whilst the Brits look like the abominable snowman.
Spaz: I once had a dream where my psychology teacher was 10ft tall and ate me, then she gave birth to me.

Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
OMG it´s real.... weeeeeee (goes sliding)
Seems like our minds are so used to light comming from above, that when the sun on the map actually is in south it makes the map look weird.
So just look at it upside down and you´ll be aight.
Agreed..Tartantyco wrote:
Also, on the minimap high and low terrain looks inverted(Might be something with shadows, but it looks weird).

[quote=""'[R-CON"]Outlawz;1211260']Kit geometries don't have camo [/quote]
[quote="Tartantyco""]lol, I went skiing with a Land Rover.
BTW, cap radius is 400m and not 500m as it says on the map(EDIT: Bravo and Alpha, I'm guessing Charlie as well). Also, on the minimap high and low terrain looks inverted(Might be something with shadows, but it looks weird).[/quote]
AM did the loading screens and he did them pretty quickly, not a huge problem
And ye, the minimap is true to the map thou its simply because the terrain is all white its hard to tell what's up and what's down.

Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
Eh? Cap radius is 500m... It's 250m below the ground though, so that's probably why it seems 400m blame Rhino.
ObjectTemplate.radius 500
ObjectTemplate.radiusOffset 0/-250/0

Maybe, maybe not, it may be put into a map pack at some point, you'll have to wait and see.Swat54swe wrote:Will this map be playable after the event? xP

Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
I'd also like to see it adapted as an official map, or at least the general concept of it.
It'd probably be an ideal CnC map due to the absence of statics.
Good stuff Rhino. Throwing together something this nice and unique in less than 4 days.

Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
Read the OP, will you
As mentioned before, this map was only developed for a one off community event so what happens to it after that we haven't made our minds up about that quite yet but in order for PR to have a "official snow map", we would need to do lots of work with crating lots of new materials, sounds, effects, textures etc that would take a lot of our workforce a lot of time to complete, this map is a simple knock up right now

Re: [Map] Operation Snow Storm
Need more maps like this. I don't need statics all over the place to have a great match, terrain only is just as good.
