[Suggestion] Add PR Handling Helis on plinths :D

Post by Herbiie »

Hey,

It's a well known bug that the AI cannot climb ladders. Also, in PRSP, the Helis are easier to use than in PRMP, and IIRC that is because the AI just crash Helis that handle like they do in PR.

So, I was wondering if we could have slightly raised Heli pads for some Helis, with ladders going up, which handle like they do in MP - on some maps at least - so people can practise with the easier Helis then the more difficult ones on PRSP.

Is this possible or not?

It'd be way easier to just have the properly coded ones coded so that bots can't actually get in them rather than going to that amount of trouble. I mean, you'd have to still make a separate file anyways to port all of the handling physics, so why not add/rem those few extra lines that make it so that bots can't use it?

Also, I hope PR's helicopters get some love and have their handling revamped, right now it's just silly.

Because I wasn't sure if that was possible, also having both kinds would be best so newbies can start off on easy ones :)

Think we I mean they were looking at adding Human/normal Vehicles off the Navmesh, so not sure if they have or not :/

Try switching out the tweak files and lowering the vehicle temperature (I think the temperature controls the vehicle's value to the bots and determines whether they'll want to take it or not).

They tweaked the helicopters so that they handle better for bots.
But I think the reason why the helicopters are a bit different to handle in PRMP is so that they can get those real high speeds, notice that PRSP helicopters are easier to handle but are real damn slow while PRMP helicopters go like a racecar.

I know - I'm asking for both tweaked and none tweaked ;)

i thought that there was an Apache on Kashan desert that was the MP version

Edit: yup i just checked the code

rem [ObjectSpawnerTemplate: cpname_kd_64_usmain_ah_1]
ObjectTemplate.create ObjectSpawner cpname_kd_64_usmain_ah_1
ObjectTemplate.activeSafe ObjectSpawner cpname_kd_64_usmain_ah_1
ObjectTemplate.modifiedByUser "WSU"
ObjectTemplate.isNotSaveable 1
ObjectTemplate.hasMobilePhysics 0
ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 2 us_ahe_apache_mp
ObjectTemplate.minSpawnDelay 600
ObjectTemplate.maxSpawnDelay 600
ObjectTemplate.TimeToLive 240
ObjectTemplate.Distance 100
ObjectTemplate.team 2
ObjectTemplate.teamOnVehicle 1

and it said there spawns a MP version of the Apache on kashan

I agree, an apache spinning around like crazy when moving back is simply ridiculous, and turning on the pad and flipping over is as well.
