I assume you mean that there should be some historical background to the conflicts, if that were the case then the PLA wouldn't have any action whatsoever, unless you were gonna put them against Muslim rebels in the West or something. That kinda premise would pretty much turn PR into nothing but constant X Vs. Insurgents/Guerillas.

The only things I can really think of in terms of battles with current/modern historical background would be for Euro and US forces to be fighting Insurgents and the Taliban, and for Russia to be fighting the Chechens. Without some speculation there really isn't gonna be much going on. I'm no huge international relations buff or anything but I don't know of any all out wars that are going on between two conventional forces, and if was all Insurgency and Guerilla based then there'd be alot of wasted potential in the game. The only conflict that seems a little silly out of any of them is Russia Vs. IDF.

Just about every existing map has received significant tweaks, so many it's hard to remember them all. In addition we have integrated CO-OP, Chechen and Hamas Insurgency, Russian airpower, a tank warfare mode, etc.

BTW what's the difference between Standard and Alternative Yamalia?

PR is already in an unrealistic WW3 scenario (MEC, Invasion of China), you can thank DICE for that. The lack of Briefing and official story allows more creative freedom.

They're making a retro/old map pack with the removed maps as well. Whether they'll have populated servers is another matter.

Damn, these maps are amazing. 0.9 release is gonna be even better than Christmas!

Lovin the new base on Korengal Vally. The base location for that map in 0.8 is horrible....
All the new maps look even better than I expected as well! Great job! Cant wait for the release. :-P
