First thing I noticed too, hadn't seen this building in PR in a long while.

Sea & air assault from a ship off the coast of a city with a defending team coming from the edge of the city inwards.

If i knew nothing of Beirut I would say that description was Muttrah.

See now your being petty, it quite obviously has its similarities in style of the way you attack, defend & layout to muttrah, I don't think this will replace Muttrah at all. Muttrah is a great map as i'm sure this will be.

Petty? Well no, not at all, really :-\.

Similarities?
- Yes, like every other map has its similarities to other maps.
- Yes, both are awesome!

The new Muttrah? (which was the original comment)
- Not at all. Beirut is totally different from Muttrah and features two different factions.

Are we spending our precious time on useless discussions?
- Yes, we are :p .

Ahhh just saw your edit, agreed all maps have some similarities this has alot of similarities to muttrah but you are right the original comment isn't correct it isn't a replacement for an old map.

Firstly, the map and its concept are really cool!

Buuut, must DEVs always resort to the TOW vs Tank setup. While I appreciate assymetrical balance, it seems that the DEVs are constantly resorting to this kind of setup for assymetrical balance. Why not try something different, like giving the IDF a tank or two but no APCs. Russia could then get a BMP and some BTRs. Just something different.
