[Video] Merkava Rampage! v0.9

Post by Spuz36 »

No this isn't a montage of epic Merkava kills(sorry), this is instead a rather fun encounter.

Story goes like this.

Driver and I were trolling around on Beirut. Soon we heard the Merkava near docks and since we were there we decided to give him a little trouble. If you have not had the privlege to play Beirut yet, the docks area is filled with cargo containers, similar to Muttrah, but smaller. It was easy to use the BTR-80's speed to zip through containers while the Merkava lurked around trying to catch us or get a shot. We would zoom around a block, unload a clip of AP rounds into him, then juke around to another block. This went on for about 10 min, many lulz arose, and we finally had to ramp off the docks into the water to dodge the main cannon. We heard the Merk travel right above us and cut the engine. After awhile we drove back up. We still heard the tank so proceeded with caution. we rounded one of the warehouses, AND THE TANK PULLED OUT RIGHT NEXT TO US. Screaming we dodged to evade the main barrel. Soon we realized the gunner must not be active or the turret malfunctioned (later found he got dc'd). Troops opened fire with RPGs and we tailed him with AP rounds until we plowed through a roadblock and had a final stand on the bridge connecting docks and the mainland. For some reason he decided to turn around and we flew by him. He then continued to turn as we were and we both met head on.

Now, the relative distance between us was fairly small to get momentum up. But somehow the Merk still plowed through us(full health) at about 2 mph...good stuff(dont think he was even smoking...). Luckily I got like the last part of it on film which I felt needed to be Youtube'd.

Enjoy.

Reason: Spell check :D (probably still flawed somehow...)

What rampo was trying to say is that it's spelled Beirut

Also if I was you, I'd jump out of the BTR, get a HAT kit from the side and destroy the tank with it.

Fixed.

Seem to be quite a few problems with the collisions meshes as the PR vehicles collection grows though.

Next time you will have to remember think and look before you ram it mainly a Merkava tank.

Only in a perfect world do things like that happen. Kit was probably already issued
