1. i loves it
it could do with some tweaking like maybe staying for 2 mins i've often had people join my squad and they go where to spawn and i say rally and then poof rally goes just could do with that extra min it wouldn't harm gameplay IMO)

Absolutely hate it. It seriously distracts from squad-based gameplay, which is why I play this game. Now it's all about the whole team, which is not fun when you're playing in pubs.

Tbh, i love the aim and the prospect of this new system however, this caused us to refine our game server selections. I do not prefer any server without teamwork and properly-built fobs anymore.

A trend I have noticed: 75-85% of people in-game say they hate the new rally system (either in all/team chat or over VOIP) and nearly 95% of people on these forums say they love it. I wonder if there is a reason for this discrepancy...

Yes I love it,

Creates two fronts between the teams and much better

before you could have random squads appearing out of bloody nowhere

Of the reasons that the RP was nerfed,
There are multiple reasons as to why we would like to experience PR without Rally Points:

* RPs enable squads with little or no cohesion to continue to have a presence in battle, even when their presence near their RP is hampering the rest of the teams objectives. This means that you often see squads doing their own thing, instead of working as a team, towards the same objectives.
* For many arcade orientated players, RPs provide a quick and easy way to play PR with almost no thought towards tactics. Spawn in, point straight at where the bad guys will be, sprint towards bad guys, shoot, die, rinse and repeat. With this, squad members often just "trickle" off the RP one by one, instead of working with their squad as one unit.
* As opposed to the original intention of being a metaphor to their real life counterparts (a squad regroup point), RPs are frequently used as a "siege weapon" that "launches" troops at an objective in 30 second intervals. In many cases, this overwhelms even the most formidable defenders and makes the role of "defence" itself, unappealing.
* RPs greatly diminish the role of both squad and squad reinforcement transportation. There are countless PR players who thrive on ferrying troops to and from objectives. Whether it's a "TRANS APC" or "TRANS HELO" squad, these types of players deserve a more important role in PR.
I would say that all points except point 4 failed.

*Instead of some squad moving around randomly, the whole teams is spread out randomly.
*People use the same tactics from FOBs, and spawn time is shortened.
*People use the same tactics from FOBs, and spawn time is shortened.
*Transports are more important.

Of all the maps I would say that only Yamalia works out good, and that's because you can build FOBs and hide them so easy. Just as a RP.

when i first heard the idea, i thought i was insane. but after it was explained in detail, i got where the DEVs were coming from. the only things i think should be changed are a shorter time the rally stays active(15 seconds, 30 tops) and instead of only being able to drop 1 and have to "reload" it, require maybe 5 minutes before it can be set again. this would prevent the abuse of the SL and 1 member staying back while the rest attack, and the practice of spamming the rally as "radar" for enemies, but would allow more then just 1 chance for the squad to regroup out in the field.

i like the way it work now, but it should be time reloadin, not death reloadin. Of course it prevent abuse, and force people to worry alot more about they're life, but on the other hand, the fact that it disapear after 60 seconds do not correct some of the issue, now, people just seems to wait that the death penalty is done, they make a rally, people spawn, and keep on going, then after they got killed they spawn on main base/FOB and that disperse the squad... there is Good and Bad points... just like the old system. Just need to readapt to the gameplay.

It's pretty good in some ways because you wipe out a squad, you know they won't be back unless there is a FOB close by.

But in some maps rally points were a must and now on especially insurgency were forced in the beginning of the round to scramble for supply trucks and go far into the map to get them up asap or else we get owned by having no FOB's.

Hate it

Battles are short and takes a long time to get in one too. I miss the fights where you had to push a squad back until their rally point got overrun. You don't see that anymore.
Also, in 0.8, I used to join a squad and get right to where the are, now I just do some lonewolfing for the first 10 minutes to get to them.
