Thank you very much!! That is what I need in this thread ;-)

It's quite painful having this awesome game right infront of you, installed and ready to go, but not being able to play it :(
No, sorry there's no estimate as yet - but it is obviously right up there at the top of the team's priority list...

We're working on it. Just understand we're all one the verge of burning out after the 0.9 development cycle.

There will be a 0.91 performance fixing patch that will also fix a few bugs. Too early to give an estimate on when it'll be ready since we've barely began to work on it.

I'd just like to thank the DEVs for all their hard work.
The outstanding issues will surely be sorted sooner or later
and us lazy muppets who just play the game ought to appreciate
it is free and these guys put in a shitload of work
on it.

I'm running a some-what Ancient Rig in my opinion, BFG 7600 GT OC, amd x86 2.4ghz, 2gb, and a crappy DSL connection right now, and I dont really suffer for a great deal of lag. I put this comp. together a few years ago just to play BF2, But the age is really starting to show.

Something is wrong with some of your computers, I bought my computer 3 years ago, back then it was high end with 'top of the line' components, now I can still run Crysis, Bioshock, CoDMW2 etc. with high graphics on good FPS, guess what? I can also run PR 0.9 on highest settings/resolution with great fps. Just because the engine is 5 years old, doesn't mean the technology being used to develop the game is. It doesn't cost much to buy some decent hardware and run PR, and don't tell me about not having money to spend. I've got university loans, I live in a tiny chinatown apartment and I still manage to have a decent PC, oh and I have a life too, it's called an investment.

Wrong no. The difference between BF2 and PR performance is massive. I can run BF2 on laptop, all max with great FPS, while on more powerful desktop PR slows down. Thats expected, not criticizing it. But there is nothing wrong with the PC, I don´t get bad performance but its not great. I get better FPS in Bad Company 2 medium to high settings than PR, COH too. Flight sims on high settings. Fresh windows 7 64bit install, etc.

Performance drop is fine and understandable, but its not the computers problem, its the engine. People with current top of the line stuff are also telling me they get slowdowns.

i have try to ask that is there something wrong in the code,or is there bug in maps or something but i havent get any good answer.
why i wanna know is cos if there is something wrong its waste of time to overclock, format, install again, change settings, change resolution, etc, etc.
hmm,i dont have money to spent right now cos i have one 2 year old boy running here and second child i hope born today or tomorrow...least next week.
i have to survive my crappy computer.

edit:nevermind,i saw devs post that other page.cheers

It's a game side issue ... some areas of the maps run great while others are terrible even while looking at the ground.

Well I noticed a significant decrease from 0.8 to 0.9, but, I don't have to worry because I'm buying a new computer, i7 920, GTX260, 9 gigs of ram, 1TB hard drive, and now I can start playing a lot of the other games I haven't been able to play/buy Bad Company 2 on the computer

I have an AMD Phenom II X4 965 at 3.9GHz and a ATI 5870, and I still go down to 40 fps when I look at the parts with many buildings. Its not really the foliage, cause on Muttrah, when I look at the whole city from the mountains, my FPS drops a lot.
