Some comments
I do not write very often messages but I read some false statements by one user. So I have to make a comment.
As I said in a previous message, I play only ARMA and PR since these 2 games are by far the most realistic war games out there. Comments like that "arma 2 is an arcade" are just lies and sheer falsehood. ARMA 2 is much more than an arcade game. It is the most realistic shooter in the market and simulates conditions of real war like no other game can do. The decision of PR team to make a PR project for ARMA 2 is the BEST choice they could ever take if realism is the point.
Continue your excellent job guys. We are waiting to hear news for the ARMA-2 PR project.

Any thoughts by the PR team about bot civilians?
Falujah would be so much more fun to play with actual people walking around doing their daily business.

I Agree MCI ... I hope to see maps at Iraq like Fallujah or Karbala or even a new one (why not Baghdat or Najaf or Ramadi ?) with civilians and city life active !!!. At the war in Iraq, especially at cities like Baghdat, Karbala, Ramadi, Najaf, Nasyriya, etc the resistance was usually mixed groups from republicanic guards, local militia, volunteers and all these were mixed with citizens while in some parts of that cities daily life and action never stoped due to the war. More over many guys have already done a great modeling job for the Iraqi troops, vehicles and weapons and environment as well and I suppose all this stuff can be used somehow.

Re: Project Reality ArmA2
can someone explain to me why you chose Arma 2, which admittedly does actually have more realism than Call of Duty or something that's retarded, over Battlefeild Bad Company 2?
BFBC2 being the only game that has the final step in realism, FULL PHYSICS. But no, you chose Arma 2, the game on the 10 year old engine, that has about 1 in 30 buildings with any degree of destructability.
You could have made the ultimate PR, the most realistic game ever. But no, you want it so that I can hide behind a plank or a dustbin or something and not be affected by explosions of any scale.
I'm sure you wanted Arma 2 for it's draw distance and the "realism" that Arma 2 already has.
Like when you can take out a t-92 with sustained light machine gun fire, yet an anti tank rocket from above doesn't destroy it.
UGGGGGGHHHHHHHH you'd better have a good reason why it wouldn't work on the BFBC2's Frostbite

yeah because destructibility is everything in a game... dose BC even have mod support?calumhm wrote:can someone explain to me why you chose Arma 2, which admittedly does actually have more realism than Call of Duty or something that's retarded, over Battlefeild Bad Company 2?

Re: Project Reality ArmA2
Details, first priority for me is the PR teamwork with VOIP to allow multi squad tactics, I don't care if its BF, ARMA or whatever.
Of course it'd be better to have more destructibility than not, but the real teamwork available on PR is why people keep coming back after trying more graphically superior games.
My only concern is how long would a PR style 30 V 30 game take, any ideas from the ARMA heads?

man probably with pr for arma 2 we will have battles of 40/50 players against 40/50 as already happens for arma 2 vanilla..PLODDITHANLEY wrote:Details, first priority for me is the PR teamwork with VOIP to allow multi squad tactics, I don't care if its BF, ARMA or whatever.

Wait, so are there still going to be kits and stuff? Or is it gonna be like, you request a kit, get all that equipment, but you can still swap out with whatever you find and stuff.

Because frostbite maps are really small... like... really really small... it wouldn't make any sense. And all that stuff you were talking about are bugs in ARMA 2, not the engine. Trust me they'll make it work and it'll be awesome.

Absolutelly agree with this intelligent guy, why the pr team didn't choose frostbite engine, that has some of the most amazings features ever seen on a videogame?View Post

- Super-ultra-high tech knifes: Cannot open a door? No problem, destroy it with your knife, don't waste you time with your gun, use the knife!
- Ultra big maps, about 500x500 mts each one!!
- Incredible physics with amazings houses made of plasticine
- No, that guy who killed you with a headshot from the other side of the map is not a cheater, no..
- Grenade spam for everyone!
- 4, or even 5, vehicles at the same time!!
So, i cannot understand the reason why pr team didn't choose frostbite engine.....

Re: Project Reality ArmA2
Hmm Ive been playing ALOT of Arma2 and never have seen anyone take out a T-90 or a T-72 with a LMG..... I've seen one crippled by a sniper cuz he popped the gunner/commander when they were turned out but NOPE I've yet to see some ****** bunny hop up and kill one with LMG. Im guessing you have....if thats the case please stick with BFBC I dont want people like you in my ARMA 2.calumhm wrote: Like when you can take out a t-92 with sustained light machine gun fire, yet an anti tank rocket from above doesn't destroy it.
You might want to put some faith in the PR mod team...They didnt get mod of the year in 2009 for nothing. The PR community I know doesnt bash the Devs but thanks them for creating and spending their time making something awesome out of shite (BF2).
They picked Arma2 deal with it.....if you can do better, by all means, go for it.
