[vehicle]Eurocopter AS-332 Super Puma(AS-532 Cougar)

Post by Salmonella »

Hey folks, I'm working in the Super Puma texture, that in fact is the same Cougar model made by the French guy called BAO, in this thread
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f356-f ... wip-8.html

I just created this thread to make everyone aware of its development...

We have some variations between Navy and Army paiting, but since only Army operates in Amazon we will be using this reference.

The firsts screens...

I'm having less free time than I usually had, so the progress may slow down even more...

Very good start on the texture. :-D
Huh for your comment about time, you're the faster modder I know (maybe [R-DEV]Tonnie could compete with you when he was fully active :razz :) .

Looks very good!

The base color could be more turquoise imo, but maybe I have to recalibrate my screen

Keep up the good work!

If you need help with exporting this into flying status. I am able and willing to help. I have done most of the helicopter exports for PR, as well as, EoD and many other mods.

Sweet! I must have somehow totally missed the original topic hehe :)

If you could also make the relevant modifications for making an RAF Puma I know someone who would be really happy. One of my mates who plays PR from time to time is an RAF Engineer who works on Pumas hehe and he would die to see it ingame :D

true, true...
Other thing I didn't noticed before, theres a HUGE difference, the french and ducth models uses a single big door, and ours uses 2 smaller,

humn... Theres already 3 "differents" models coming from this one, one more won't hurt, I just need to know what are the modifications, at first glance I noticed the length and the shape of the windows, anything else?

humm I wouldn't know offhand, can ask our MAs.

Unfortunately my mate is deployed at the moment to somewhere in Africa and I can't get him to get any refs for you as such, otherwise I could.

I'll ask the MAs to see what they can do :)

I heard the RAF were going to update all their Pumas. We use it as well in the French Forces.

And as well the cockpit I guess, if your MAs are off Rhino, we have plenty of references on the French side about the Puma ;-) .

The puma would make a fantastic replacement for the merlin ingame tbh - since merlin lag was never solved

Landing gear isn't a problem.

The merlin lag I believe can be solved it just will take a bit of work to do but less work than modifying a new chopper to take its place (aka, this puma :p )

I see the Puma more as an addition to the British arsenal to go along side the current choppers rather than replacing or filling in any gaps.
