Know why I like it?

Because it makes killing enemies rewarding (they won't show up anytime soon...)
However if you manage to get 2 of your guys out alive, suprise, you have backup :)
Most of the time, though, I use rally for new squad members to join the squad...

But the only time I used this Rally Point system to its fullest was in Silent Eagle... we had some good Chinook pilots...

Note I only played a couple of rounds as SL, though...

The Battlefield series of engines does this by making clients connected with high latencies disadvantaged in that the server trusts its view of the world at all times. When I said that, I should have clarified a little. It's not like PR is dying in the sense of wilting, no one playing in 6 months. I mean that it is changing to a direction that is not fun, and a lot of people will stop playing this mod. Maybe you want this? It will be bad in the long run, trust me. But with PR moving to ARMA 2, does it even matter?

I have said this before, but I am a horrible PR addict and will not quit even if you crazy DEVs replace my m16 with a inverted banana launcher

PR is not for everyone, its not fun for you... thats your opinion but it still is to ALOT of people. And do i like the fact we are losing people? i dont care, it happens every release. Also PR is NOT moving to ArmA. PR:BF2 is still being developed.

I actually picked the 'whatever' option although I really like the change :-)
It's good to see some fresh new tactics springing from it.

Medics are now harder and harder to get... Why? Is it possible to reduce to a team of 2 members? Sometime all SQ's are full and I can only play with my brother / friend... :(

0.9 was so demanding,thats why there are a little loss on players.
even if you have good computer,you are struggling with fps problems.
so i guess that theres is lot of players waiting patch.

Yes i recognize the loss of players, it happens every release.

New release
lots of new players try it
Players dont like it and leave

i unstalled, why? lag. i used to be able to play alot of maps like qwi, now qwi is unplayable.

before i said i liked it now i dont agree with it more and more ppl are not picking the officer kit and are usally picking like specilist or LAT and leading the squad doesnt feel as realistic. Sls used to always pick the SL kit cuz ppl would die with out having the rallys being able to be put down

Was loading a map and the tip was something along the lines of "squad leaders use the rally points to keep your squad together". Obviously not changed since 0.9. How ironic now that rally points are obliterated that squad work in PR is also now decimated. I used to run my squad like a SWAT team with everyone playing their role with hopefully awesome coordination. The ability to have great squad work an entire map has been thrown away in this patch for the murky concept of more teamwork which basically involves the fascinating task of shoveling up a network of firebases to minimises the new emphasis on endurance walking.

I think you are wrong to assume this as people don't seem to mind so much the actual act of building the firebase or even the faffing about required at times to get a supply crate. It's simply that no matter how many you have it is no substitute for the squad RP. The thing that has impressed me most about was PR was the teamwork. To me that was 6 people working like clockwork to achieve a goal (and often linking with other squads to bulk up). Now that is simply gone. Apart from leaving main initially, where you momentarily get that buzz of the anticipation of a map about to be played with 6 people about to work with intense coordination, it is just 1s, 2s and 3s after that first encounter until the end. Look at your map if you don't believe me. 0.87 you could look at the map and generally see 2 or 3 'good' infantry squads moving as one. You see the SL and the rest trail closely like a comet. Now it is just a random scatterings. It is just so blah..

Yeh that looks great. Reminds me of 0.87. I play on Chicago Hardcore Insurgency and it only ever briefly looks anything like that in 0.9. It's a good firebase placement with a double cache nearby so an ideal situation.

In my experience i find 24/7 INS severs to not have same teamwork levels as AAS servers, tho this is only my experience.

-It seems that people just hate that they cant simply spawn back into the fight after they get themselves killed as soon as they like anymore.

-Of course with a big change it will take some more time for everyone to get used to it, with adjustments it will improve as will the players.

-Maybe it hasnt combated lone wollfing but those who still do it now have clearly downloaded PR for the wrong reasons and are just easy pickings for a full sqaud.

-I think its a lot more justifiable to use FOBs to spawn instead of rally points which just make people less inclined to wait for a medic and in tern end rounds faster.

Please dont bring back the old rally system.
