Well in reality in modern times a firebase is still mainly a arty positionTheOldBreed wrote:i dunno man, a 'firebase' in 'Nam was something very different to what they are in PR. e.g. a few 105 howitzers n what not.
a deployable tunnel can't work. A deployable must be above the terrain and can not go under the terrain. Well it can go under the terrain, but there is no way of getting though the terrain to get to itstrongbird wrote:what about Tunnels underground? and booby traps?????
aye, i meant in comparison to PR, where an 'Firebase' is a few sandbags n a cammie net haha[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:Well in reality in modern times a firebase is still mainly a arty position![]()
Right now.. This is what we are using.. The whole object wasn't to re-invent PR, but to work alongside PR. In order to save some initial developement time, alot of the current PR stuff is being used while we try out the concept. The first release of the mod build will probably use alot of PR models for the deployables and then if things go well. We will redo things and as time goes on.. Replace the stuff with unique stuff.TheOldBreed wrote:aye, i meant in comparison to PR, where an 'Firebase' is a few sandbags n a cammie net haha
I understand, you do not want to keep the people waiting to long hehe.[R-DEV]TrahnLee wrote:Right now.. This is what we are using.. The whole object wasn't to re-invent PR, but to work alongside PR. You know, deployable LZ for PR (the current one) will be very efficient, like this, lets say on archer because it doesnt have too much good LZs so you build FB to a good spot and helipad will be needed because there i always someone that spawned in base by mistake or ressuply....[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:A nice suggestion salaminl, deployable LZs have been talked about in PR but never really happened because not really necessary, if you want a LZ near your FO you should really just place your FO near a good natrual LZ. Same could be said for PRV, would be nice if you could possibly blow down a load of trees to clear a LZ but ye, that's not going to happen without making dest trees which isn't an option
A more "jungley" FO might be kinda cool and maybe a few tweaks to a bunch of other deployables but not really a priority.

And a brown or red(ish) ground texture.dunem666 wrote:i think the FOB for PRV should be the same as PR, But with ONE difference....
The camo net has a much longer fringe on it.... more hidden
yeah man, totally understand.[R-DEV]TrahnLee wrote:Right now.. This is what we are using.. The whole object wasn't to re-invent PR, but to work alongside PR.
