Project Reality? Vietnam? Can it get anymore better than this?

Post by Ddonegan »

Ive always wanted a really solid Vietnam game to enjoy for hours and hours, but the only ones that have came out didnt really stick out to me. Ive always been a fan of PR and ive loved how that Its a really action filled game, but you have to wait a while before you get into the action, and when you finally do you get shot and have to respawn. Which i can understand this being a modern warfare game.

With PR:V however i would think it would be a bit more gung ho and fast paced action.
Im not bashing PR by no means, but i would love to see the Devs taking a new direction with it, while still keeping all the stuff from PR that we know and love.

Would any of you share the same thoughts, or give me reasons why this couldnt happen??

I would not, If PR:V is more laid back I wont even bother giving it a shot.
It's a PR game, stick with the PR formula. It works, it's fun and there is no reason to sell out now and so it can appeal to those who cant play PR in the first place, dont change it, keep the same hardcore gameplay and add some new stuff, it will be great.

The game play mechanics are probably identical to PR, just different content.

I still think that im dreaming, but i have to say no. I would love to see PR:V just like the original PR style. My only concern are the maps, are they going to be big enough and "PR" enough if you know what i mean.

My concern is the maps also, I really hope that they are not something that you would see in vanilla bf2 or even BF:v.......I really hope they are well made, realistc jungle maps that force players into close combat. I just want up close, intense, ferocious and gritty combat. Like I have said before, I dont even want to be able to see the enemy, most troops in Vietnam would rarely see an enemy alive. Combat in jungles is like this, the jungle is so thick that you stuggle to see 2 metres infront of you. And then BANG! a VC sets of a booby trap and a MG opens up at about 5 metres ahead of you, absolute carnage follows.

I think the insurgent game mode will be perfect when playing Allies Vs VC (not NVA) because alot of missions in Vietnam were purely search and destroy[ing enemy caches].
I trust the devs will keep true to the PR formula and will do their research and make PR:v an authentic Vietnam game the likes of which have yet to be seen.
