And the longer barrel is what actually gives you accuracy to the guy up there who I'm too lazy to quote

Sorry my post wasn't clear.

M16 - Longer settle time, However higher muzzle velocity (3,050 ft/s (930 m/s), Higher Accuracy.
M4 - Shorter settle time, However lower muzzle velocity (2,970 ft/s (910 m/s), Lower Accuracy.

Even in cqb i tend to keep on single fire unless its a scoped weapons. I find I can put in some quick accurate single shots faster than someone just spraying can kill me.

Danke freunde.

When compared to the other Fully automatic Rifles, the M16A1 is the fastest. But I do think it should be slowed down a tad bit, maybe to 800 rounds a minute as apposed to 900? Does anyone know what XM16's Firerates where?

Do you mean in-game? There's no reason in real life for the M16 to be more accurate than the M4, unless the M4's aren't taken care of, or something. Longer settle time on the M16 is backwards, as well. If that's being coded into the game, I think they should drop it.

About the 3 round burst; the other guy is right about them throwing it in cause of the draftees with no training couldn't handle it. That's the reason they dropped the M14 and picked up the M16 in the first place. It sucks having it in PR, as well.

I see where you're coming from with the accuracy difference, but <100 fps doesn't make a lick of difference except on paper. I hope they don't mod the game based on that kind of data.

well, longer barrel + higher muzzle velocity normally means more accuracy. but in game they are the same.

Gotcha. I'm a competition shooter in real life and I'm always arguing with people about that. The way I see it, the extra 100 fps from another inch or two of barrel only helps reduce errors in wind and drop estimation (by hardly anything). Most people don't realize though that a longer barrel induces more vibrations due to the lesser rigidity. If everything else is constant, the extra 5 inches of barrel on the M16 makes it 2.5x more flexible than the M4 (these are my own calculations, though, and Calc I was a long time ago...).

Try shooting the fullauto M16 in this game in 3 shot burst, compare that with US 3 burst M16. Maybe you are not controling enough when firing in 3 shot burst mode.
