Im still trying, its not proving easy although I am able to get a consistently good KDR. What was extremely positive from this round was a total stranger at the time ([TMP]Zissou30) mentioning this thread and talking about how it had inspired him and his clan to make some "no deaths" squads etc. This is really positive to hear, and I hope that plenty of people have been similarly inspired.
Yup, we tried to do things like this in the past, but not as seriously as we do now.

Here are some of our successes

Barracuda, came in at the beginning, US team

Final squad KDR 19-0

(ill explain the one death that i dont count as a death)

So all the pilots wanted to go to the same LZ and build a FOB, my SL Tom, didnt want to, so he heroically jumped out of the chopper in a form of protest because the pilot would not listen, the other 3 landed and walked to docks while Tom got another ride there, we linked up built a FOB and moved out.

TO make things short, we built another FOB, killed a few lone wolves, killed a VN3, a FAV and a trans truck with some people in it. It was an epic round, we even got best squad :)

The round before was Beruit, dont remember too much about this round but we killed and enemy sniper like near the end, we were IDF by the way, and just went on rebuilding downed FOBs, and killing enemies

Final KDR as a squad 9-0

You're a retard. You just proved my point... I never said I was one.

Anyway, I wouldn't have lead us into ambushes, if you hadn't been such a pain in the ***. 8-)

This challenge was far too easy. Even Gaz did it.

I demand a challenge of getting -1 deaths in a round.

You called Smeg? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Two quick ones for today.

Tactical Gamer - Kashan Desert - M.E.C.

Joined Portable.Cougar's infantry squad at the beginning of the round. After a little bit of squabbling over assets, we loaded up in Rudd's BMP-3 and moved to South Bunker.

Once South Bunker was capped, we all piled back into Rudd's IFV and headed off to the east entrance of the bunker complex to check for enemies. As we approached North Bunker, we found it totally abandoned.

However, we soon took fire from the northern most bunker as enemy infantry began to pour into the complex from the northern entrance. They were all hunkered down inside of the bunker.

With myself guarding the hangar entrance, the rest of my squad assaulted and successfully cleared out the bunker of hostiles. We soon capped North Bunker and were preparing to once again load up in Rudd's IFV.

Before we could mount though, we noticed enemies constructing emplacements on the hill directly north of the bunker complex.

At this time, I asked Cougar if I could grab a sniper rifle to engage the enemies; he agreed.

With an enemy H-AT and TOW active on the hill, our BMP was essentially obsolete until the threat was neutralized. I saw the H-AT creeping up the ridge to try and get a visual on Rudd, so I took him down along with the TOW.

At this point, my squad loaded up in Rudd's IFV to assault the FOB while I provided support. Once they got to the ridgeline, things started to get a little hairy.

Enemy armor was massing to the north, counterattacking their now destroyed FOB. Rudd was stuck in the crossfire and was destroyed. Our squad led a hasty retreat back into the bunkers.

As we were retreating, we started to take enemy sniper and automatic rifleman fire from the mountain east of the bunker complex. With a couple well placed rounds, they went down.

Cougar called in for a helicopter extraction to take us to South Outpost. Once we arrived, we built up a FOB for the future assault on the flag. We also met up with Rudd again and he took us to the ridges north and east of North Village.

While friendlies capped the flag, our squad along with Rudd's IFV provided overwatch. Enemy armored units and logistic trucks started to depart their main, only to be met by lethal sniper and H-AT fire. We held our ground until South Outpost went neutral.

At this point, our squad started to move closer to their main to unleash an area attack. I stepped up as CO to drop the JDAM via Cougar's request. Unfortunately, they were bleeding heavily and Cougar was having trouble marking the target. The round ended right after I accepted his area attack request.

For a round of Kashan, it was quite short due to squad and team coordination, as well as planning and executing orders to their max effect.

Tactical Gamer - Kashan Desert - U.S.

I'm not going to go into too much detail as I joined more than half-way through the round, and aside from our squad, the team wasn't all that great.

Anyways, I squaded up with some of the crew of TF21. To be more precise, HellHound and CoronadoSEAL.

We had a FOB set up north of South Village where all the action was taking place. Coronado was SL and was attempting to get our team organized and coordinated by marking targets, specifically an enemy FOB and its accompanying emplacements, on the mountain east of South Village.

We had been taking enemy sniper fire from the radio antenna situated west of South Village ever since I started hoofing my way to his position. HellHound and I decided enough was enough and went to silence the sniper.

Unfortunately, someone beat us to him, leaving his precious rifle lying limp on the ground. I scooped that bad boy up and went to work. However, we could still hear sniper rounds to our south. With a quick glance over the ridge, the source of the shots revealed to us another enemy sniper.

I put my crosshairs over the target and waited for HellHound to get into a position where he could knick the kit once the sniper had been eliminated. Once receiving the word, I squeezed the trigger and sent a round into that poor soldier's cranium.

HellHound snatched up his prize, and the rest is history. He and I went on a shooting rampage, taking down targets at the enemy FOB east of South Village and also at South Bunker whilst Coronado moved in to try and capture the flag on foot.

The round ended right as we set up at a new position overlooking yet another enemy FOB on the road southwest of South Village, chalk full of enemies.

That was a very good round, I ran the Mi-17 transport squad for most of it. Great coordination from the entire team leading to an inevitable victory and cap-out.

I sadly died once, about 10 seconds before the round ended when I got lax with my heli and instead of taking my normal route skimming the map edge on my return from North Village I went across the center of the map and ofc there was the last US tank waiting to take me down :(

Imma count it as a 0 death round anyway though :p

yeah that was a great round, shame I lost teh BMP a couple of times but each time was worth it to protect cougar's squad, would have died alot more if it wasn't for our great tank squad who were covering us :)
my

ROD5RIG was my gunner, I think all of his kills were armour.

Tactical Gamer Password Night - Jabal 2 - U.S.M.C.

I joined Tactical Gamer's password night about half an hour into Jabal 2 as U.S.M.C.

Seeing how every squad was either locked or full, I decided to create my own called, "Observe". Since everyone was already in a squad, I asked my team if anyone could join my squad for a moment so I could request a sniper kit to aid in lasing targets for CAS and taking down targets of opportunity.

AnimalMother kindly joined and I got what I was looking for.

All the action was taking place in East Jabal, and since I had spawned at East Beach, I had a lot of walking to do. As I was hoofing my way to the city, two BTR-80s came roaring towards me. I dove into the nearest cover available and watched as their massive wheels thundered a few feet from me. After I had called out their position to our team, I attempted to lase them but I was unsuccessful as they had already vanished from view.

I continued on my journey to Jabal City, setting up shop on a rocky outcropping overlooking the city from the south. Just then I heard the whooshing sound of an AA missile in flight and tracked down the source to an Anti-air emplacement just north of Jabal in the low hills. Not only was there an AA emplacement, but a TOW launcher and several infantry defending them.

Once I reported their location to Portable.Cougar, our commander, I set my sights on the AA gunner. I zeroed in on his head and waited for him to stop spinning erratically. I fired, his body slumped in the seat. The enemies nearby dove for shelter as they desperately tried to locate the shooter. A sniper bravely stuck his head out hoping to pinpoint my position. He too dropped to the ground. Now the enemy really began to panic. They started throwing smoke in a desperate attempt to conceal themselves.

Every time they exposed themselves, I would fire, and they would drop. However, each time one of them went down, another one would be revived. It was very frustrating. They eventually had enough and sprinted into the city. However, they were foolish enough to take to the roofs to continue their hunt for the unknown shooter. They too fell where they stood.

We were eventually ordered from our position to be evacuated out to West Beach via helicopter because the enemy had overrun our FOB there and had neutralized the flag. We were escorted out via Huey from Imchicken123 and dropped on the hill east of the beach. We linked up with another squad assaulting the flag whom have been pinned down by an enemy TOW. After being told of its location, I set out to a good position within view of the enemy emplacement. I steadied my crosshairs on its occupant, held my breath, and fired. No more TOW.

Friendlies began to pour into the beach, quickly neutralizing any resistance, along with the flag. Once the flag was capped, commander ordered everyone out of the area except for our squad to attempt to retake East Jabal. However, what he didn't expect was a full-on counter-attack by the M.E.C. The moment they noticed the flag had been all but abandoned, they rushed in with BTRs filled with infantry and Gaskin Anti-air vehicles.

I fell back to the sea wall south of the beach as the rest of my retreating squad was overwhelmed. I was now all alone, with only a stretch of water between myself and about half their team. I laid low hoping once they capped the flag they would depart, but I was sadly mistaken. In fact, they started building up a FOB along with AA and TOW emplacements guarding the beach.

Eventually, their armored vehicles caught wind of our friendly forces advancing on them and took off to intervene. I poked my head out to see that their infantry were still there defending. I pulled out my rifle and took aim at the AA gunner. A shot rang out amidst the silence and the gunner crumbled. Mass hysteria assumed as the rest of the M.E.C. had no idea what had just happened. I continued dropping random soldiers as they sought cover from what appeared to be a ghost firing down on them.

I disappeared among the sea wall barriers, hoping to remain hidden. They were now out and about trying to hunt me down. I spent the rest of the round playing hide-and-seek with the defending troops as I kept popping up and killing whoever was exposed and then dropping down and hiding for a few minutes.

As our tickets drained, I became a little more adventurous and continued firing shot and shot into the M.E.C. soldiers. Eventually, an automatic rifleman caught on and began firing wildly in my direction. I relocated and was just about the plant a round into his face when I got the message, "There is a problem with your connection" and the round ended. Bummer.

It was an intense round towards the end and wish it wouldn't have ended when it did.
