Waiting in .87 for evac at Barracuda, most of us bleeding and the medic dead. SL called for trans. popped the smoke. The huey came, we all running out of the bushes, happy to get of the battlefield. And somehow the pilot got distracted, made a little turn to his left, hit the throttle and braked. Flatsj! Everybody got killed. I think the pilot smoked some weed or something.

last week my keys were configured for helicopter diffrently and when i pressed W as i was tabout to take off the nose went up and i couldint put it back down killing a full squad

I waited 10 minutes for chopper transport at the main base.

By the time I got in the chopper and to my destination, I died while walking past a friendly supply crate that randomly exploded.

Sort of a fail.

I was on Muttrah hovering a Huey trying to land on a tight spot on the carrier when I clip a static, and then .

I miraculously survive to tell the tale, with the helicopter not having a scratch.

My squad all got onto the same transport on Beirut.

50 seconds later, the transport rolled sideways.

I jumped out and landed safely in water... but was smashed by the transport...

The surviving two members had to swim back to cargo ship...

the first time I tried to fly, I had just spent about a week trying to master the fine art of Helo piloting.
Muttrah City, I lift off, about half-way to our destination I got pinged and freaked out. Started spinning out of control, lost control of it, killed everyone. Lots of rage.

my friends were playing as saboteurs trying to take out enemy vehicals as the left the main on muttrah. i had finally learned to fly a chopper, and was eager to show my skills. they ask me to bring them a supply crate near the traffic circle near the SW end of the map. i head there, but make the mistake of slowing down while too hig in the air. a BTR lights me up, i freak out and scramble out of there, almost forgetting to drop the crate. somehow it survives and they start useing it. im flying low and fast along the back road with the chopper shuddering and alarms blaring. i figured if i could make it to the repair station at docks i might survive.
i round the last of the buildings and the gate to the docks is in sight.
i think: IM GONNA MAKE IT!
my chopper says: NO YOUR NOT!
a few feet short of the gate the controls give out and i crash.

Anytime i pilot a chopper, mayhem ensues.

Was on muttrah, with cobra, a enemy LB (eurocopter) just went behind me so in that moment i turn and start chasing him
i lock on him with aim9 but he throwed flares, so i waited again, it locked on him sucessfully, so i shot him an aim9, just when i do that a friendly LB passes near the enemy LB, and the missile gets the wrong target and hits + destroys the friendly LB XD... right after that my gunner shot the enemy LB and took him down

Well, wasn't my fail, but on Jabal Al Burj, a helo was attempting to land on the Dam helipad, I was positioned to the north with an MG3, so I decided to start unloading on the troops inside. Killed a couple in the process but the helo flew away. I then read on the all-chat that their helo pilot was an idiot. Turns out I scared the **** of the pilot and he rammed his Huey into the Dam, killing everyone inside.

Flying Chinook on Archer, squad wanted to go to the Airport so I decided to fly outside the edge of the map to be safe. Had ten seconds left on the DoD timer when I flew back in the map only for the entire squad in the back seat to simulataniously die. My squadmate in the copilot seat and I were fine.

Just today on Karbala, flying lbs, squad leader insists he spotted the cache, so both of us strafe it with not even a kill the other lb goes down and I get hurt bad. Alarms started beeping and I litterally made it to two feet away from the helipad, I had even passed the hesco barrier and my lb exploded. I respawn to see the wreck perfectly landed in the middle of the helipad.

haha that reminds me of my favourite. Playing on a server with mumble, I don't remember what. But my sqd ldr and I were waiting for a transport helicopter. We see one come in for a landing, and we had a funny suspicion not to get into that one [we didn't like how the pilot was flying] Now a full squad gets into the one that just landed. The helicopter takes off and flys over us, and we here the pilot and the squad inside trying to talk to the other helicopter coming in for a landing. I probably don't need to say more, but lets just say in the end, two Black hawks down and a full squad dead. xD

Ha, just got off a server that was playing a round of Operation Archer. A Chinook had spawned at base and a player went to fly it. The moment he started spooling up, this other player, Recondude[?], barreled over to the Chinook in a G-Wagen and demanded that he gets out because he's not in the "Chinook" squad. The player that had originally gotten in the Chinook then joined the "Chinook" squad to fly it; not the case.

Recondude stated that he was waiting for it the entire time and continued yelling at the poor pilot to get out or he'll be kicked. After a few minutes of fussing, the original pilot half-heartily obliged and let his angry squad member fly. The moment his rotors were warmed up, a couple of teammates, including myself, warned him that he shouldn't fly aimlessly about and should instead wait for orders... I didn't even get finish my sentence before I heard the crash.

I don't think I've ever seen someone Alt-F4 so quickly. It was hilarious but extremely sad. Our entire team-chat log erupted into "WTF?" and "Fail". Recondude, if you're reading this, the next time you make a huge fit about flying, at least be able to fly the damn thing and not make yourself look like a complete tool.

I was flying Transport Hueys on Muttrah, it was a great round. In total the whole squad only lost 2 Hueys the whole game. Anywho, the round was about mid way through. The fight was happening along the lines between North city and City center. I was on deck and an entire squad spawned on the ship.

Quite a few of them had special kits such as AT or Marksman. When all 6 piled in the Squad Leader called for a landing in the skinny alleyway two streets south of the Hotel in North City. I took off an built up speed. As I was nearing the end of the docks I made a turn south to come in over the parking lot. Coming in over the parking lot, Blackness. I, the pilot of a full helicopter 150m from our destination was shot out. The funny thing was that it was one shot one kill. Lucky as any shot ever was if you ask me. No other rounds hit and no other passenger in the helo was shot out.

I was a bit embarassed as I waited to spawn. I thought I would get hell from the squad I was transporting. However, I opened my map to see the whole squad on the ground in the exact spot I had landed them in. It turns out that I had just the right direction and momentum that the helo spun and slipped sideways narrowly missing building on each side, to land right in the street. There was a firebase not too far away and I immediately spawned at it. The Squad's Leader was typing into chat "THE HELO IS STILL UP COME GET IT!!!"

SO I sprinted south through North City and within minutes I entered the street. The whole squad was spread out around the chopper setting up a perimeter like something out of a movie. It was a classic PR moment for me because not only was the squad positioned so well, all were firing at enemies on both side of the street. As I jumped in and waiting to spool up, round after round of small arms hit the helo, and tracer after tracer flew by. Just before takeoff two grenades landed only a few meters away. By the time I lifted off and broke out I was very gently smoking. Not enough to keep me from making it back to the deck.

As I finally got into the clear I couldn't have felt more vindicated and pumped. I, with the help of some serious coordination and teamwork, crashlanded a chopper, ran unarmed to secure it, and took it off under fire. I guess you could say it was a fail but an overall win in my book.

Piloting BH on Ramiel (TG few hours ago). I was the pilot, my pal was the door gunner. So we get a request for a rooftop dropoff in a very hot zone.

I man up and go there, seek for a roof to land on, and as soon as i touch down a RPG guys appers infron on the roof of the building ahead. I lift up immediately, the RPG hits me underneath and there goes my engine. I manage to crash-land down the street. I panicked and got out instead of manning the other gun and fight off the insurgents, but after 30 secs or so, another RPG hit the BF and destroyed it. 5 secs later we were overwhelmed by tons of insurgents and killed.

Roof with the marker was the dropoff zone and this is how far we made it after being hit.
