Theres no Recon teams in BF2 R and, most likely, never been. Soldiers in PR represent regular grunts.

I think in PR must be the option that helps configure your weapon by your self. Beside, in real life in army we can do that.

Why? Even if it would happen (and I seriously doubt it will) it wouldn't effect gameplay at all. Unless you're allowing classes like the medic to have scopes, as an example (so there would be limitations of course)HardCandy wrote:Oh god, please don't implement a system to customise this, game will turn into COD.

Re: M4 SOPMOD, PR Style..
Each M4 set requires an individual model and kit, right? not as hard as you think =D.
We just need to find some1 who is actually bored enough to make about 900 different M4 models, add 900 different kits into the game for rifleman class..
,and another 900 for officer class,and another 900 for specialist,and another 900 for ..
never mind...
maybe i did wrong math tho

Re: M4 SOPMOD, PR Style..
how come? Yes i do know that there is no recon teams or anything like that in PR, but from all the matches i have played there is always a squad that acts like there SF or something. ex: scout sniper squads or recon squads. i think it would be VERY cool if the spotter for a scout sniper team could have the ability to have a suppressed weapon. And they are not just "naming the squad that to sound cool", they actually act independently from every other squad and actually act like special forces would in that situation. ex: gather intel for commander, go behind enemy lines and report back intel, provide cover for infantry troops. Yes im new to PR but i believe a suppressed firearm would help the "wanna-be" SF teams a ton.masterceo wrote:No, sorry mate, PR tries to stay out of the "Special Ops Recon" bounds.

PRs focus is conventional forces, not the various types of special operations.Stogs415 wrote:how come? Re: M4 SOPMOD, PR Style..
ok thank you. im aware of that. but having the ablilty to put a suppressor on your rifle, doesnt mean its going to move away from conventional forces.gazzthompson wrote:PRs focus is conventional forces, not the various types of special operations.
example:
these are conventional forces but they have access to suppressors, because they have access to the SOPMOD kit.
you just can not put in something like the SOPMOD kit and leave out suppressors.

Ok, i don't know its is a crazy idea but in real life there are some recon elements. Maybe when in server are 30 players on one team (or less or more(it can be adjust by server admins, but restriction stays no lower then 20 - 25 or simply disable)) the recon squad become available. They have suppressed weapons and all other stuff, but they cant build fobs, place rally and other stuff what can do simple infantry squad. I think this is great idea for Project Reality 2. What you say guys?

I say this is a try to fit a globe into a condom. You've already been given the answer that it wont happen with proper reasoning behind such decision, but now you propose weird, not straight system only to make your wet dream happen.
2nd- this belongs to suggestion forum which you a)do not have access yet b)it's an old resuggestion
3rd- dont try to sneak PR2 into discussions all you get for it - locked threads.

You can very easily can, suppressors are simply not issued on a large scale to conventional forces.Stogs415 wrote: you just can not put in something like the SOPMOD kit and leave out suppressors.

Re: M4 SOPMOD, PR Style..
the marine in your picture could be a MARSOC soldier for all we know, but even if he's just a regular grunt, well, suppressors aren't a standard issue for conventional forces.
EDIT: you guys are new here, that's why i strongly recommend reading up in other threads and using the search button before making a suggestion, more than 90% of new suggestions are really suggestions that have been discussed to death before.

Not trying to be the one to be the pessimist/bummer here...
I'm not sure if this has been said before, but you got something wrong with the M16A4 RIS. The way it is now, is that it's just two M4 RIS parts put together. That's how they do it in Chinese clone airsoft companies, but not in real life. Instead, you have this: http://quarterbore.com/images/kacm5ras.jpg
Otherwise, everything's absolutely awesome ^_^

The RIS is hidden by the covers ingame, so i guess it is easier the way it is made
