Well technically it shouldn't be on Basrah since Basrah is based on the Iraq War when the British where in control of Basrah (From around 2003 to 2009) and back then there where no Panther CLVs there etc.[R-COM]HangMan wrote:Very nice indeed Can't wait to drive this around on Basra?

Well technically shouldn't the Russians not be waging war against the canadians and the IDF?
Seeing this, I'm quite stoked for PR:A2. Now that I actually have money >:]

Re: Panther CLV - desert version
Thous maps, like Muttrah etc are not based on any real conflicts so we can do pretty much what the hell we like with them but maps like Basrah which are based on real conflicts we try and keep to as close as possible.Dev1200 wrote:Well technically shouldn't the Russians not be waging war against the canadians and the IDF?

The model looks great. So if the vehicle is not destined for Basrah because of realism issues, then what map in PR will it feature on? Don't tell me it is going straight into ARMA2 development...

Well since the Germans are going to be on Lashkar...no maps are going to feature it, unless someone completes Sangin or whatever it was which featured the Brits with the Harrier.Dougalachi wrote:The model looks great. I believe the Norwegians use the Iveco LMV though which is pretty much the same vehicle.

That is what I'm saying, there aren't currently any GB desert maps announced that would fit this vehicle according to some. With the British pulling out of Sangin, unless they are going to make it a battle in the past (like Basra apparently), the British wouldn't have that map anymore either, if we ever see it finished.dtacs wrote:Well since the Germans are going to be on Lashkar...no maps are going to feature it, unless someone completes Sangin or whatever it was which featured the Brits with the Harrier.

Well we can't be too hasty to say it isn't going to be in PRBF2, unless a DEV is at liberty to say whether or not its a PRA asset only.Dougalachi wrote:That is what I'm saying, there aren't currently any GB desert maps announced that would fit this vehicle according to some. Re: Panther CLV - desert version
Well we might chuck it on Basrah until anouther map comes along for it as there wont be any other "desert" maps for it for some time yet but there are plenty of woodland maps for it to go on and its basically the same vehicle, with if anything the woodland version being better since it has smoke launchers
and guys in terms of PR A2 etc, pretty much every new model being made will be featured in both engines.

You might as well not put it on any map. It's gonna get raped by RPGs and tanks and APCs.
Looks like the British are getting more nerfed every release.
