shellshock 'nam 67 was alright, so was conflict: vietnam i suppose.

Best one i've ever played though is probably Men of Valor. sick game.

I played Vietcong and VC: Fist Alpha multiplayer on the PC forever. QUALITY stuff for when it was released. It was the first game I played where you could lay grenade-in-a-can traps. Beyond that, there were built in traps and tunnels in some of the maps. Air strikes, iron-sight Mosin Nagant sniping, bayonet assaults... I'm beginning to salivate, boys.

The weapon selection was awesome, combat was fun and fluid, but the game still had an "environment" about it. When things got quiet, you got suspicious. When the shit hit the fan, you either died on the spot or had an epic survival episode, trying to make it back to your medic. Does any of this sound familiar?

My first multiplayer game and i still play it sometimes, i remember playing the whole day on that Stream map. And i love the firefights on it, moving up in squads and then find a good spot to ambush the americans.

The unsung mod and the vietnam experience mods for arma are also pretty good.

Right now the war on terror gets all the attention in the gaming world. For a pletora of nam games coming out on new engines you will have to wait a couple years, chances are when the war on terror will be put to rest the vietnam war will be the more interesting scenario.

I loved Joint Operations and the xpac Escalation. I mean it had everything, tanks, boats, boats that could carry tanks, airsupport, motorcycles. I had some fun back in the day with it.

Although the game was set in indonesia i loved the huge 64 vs 64 battles and day and night cycle.

Sniping people on the ground with a tank hanging from a helicopter..................................epic!

Oh and being able to hide from the VC in the jungle and spring ambushes when they have walked past.

No 1 got me back into games after a 4 year break. The one thing it had (which I have not seen on other FPS well until Gears of War) was the ability to raise up from cover just enough to fire. When behind cover if you used iron sights. I wish BF supported that. Great fight fires.

EOD with good heli pilots (transport and gunships) was great fun.

there is a mod for the as yet unreleased Red orchestra 2 - 'Heroes of stalingrad' called In country and i recon it will turn out to be pretty good.
The team have a decent amount of experience and talent.

oh, and vietcong was the best nam game.

Mud and Blood Recon is a flash game thats going to come out soon. They're trying to make it realistic, so you guys might wanna check it out when it comes out. Just to play a quick game when you don't have time for PR.
