Don't think so. Perhaps as Skirmish, no idea.

So will that PBR boat be in the PRV version ? If so, it would bring a whole new element into the gameplay wich would be pretty cool.

Video looked awesome, I hope we get the first release soon.

I know this ain't maybe the best place to post a suggestion but I don't want to post nonsense to get my message count up to have a right to write on suggestions, so here you go.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have a covert ops kit (one or two per team) that has ability to disguise himself to look look like the enemy. Old Wolfenstein Enemy Territory had it and it was so fun to play as covert ops stabbing and ambushing enemies while trying to avoid being seen. Some limited fire power kit for infiltration and intelligence purposes.

What do you guys like about this?

first of all:welcome on the forums ace_fin!
but you know, this postcount is there for a reason. this reason is that by the time you can post suggestions you have read through enough threads to know the basics of project reality and the idea's the dev's have for the way it will be developed. spec ops kits have been removed long ago for among others gameplay reasons and it has been suggested dozens of times since.
project reality is meant to depict the common soldier, common soldiers don't use silenced weapons, suitcase nukes or akimbo deagles, and are generally unable to take other peoples identity like in ETW or ETQW. I doubt it could be coded either.

I recommend you to check the *** thread, though it's in the pr-bf2 section the same rules apply.

I checked those posts but I couldn't found a post that would propose the same. I'm not saying that the kit would be some fancy James Bond kit with shiny weapons but instead a weak kit maybe just with a pistol and binos to be used for scouting. It would take a careful guy to use it properly and as far as I know these infiltrators have been used practically in every war in the past. from the list I understood the recon kit to be just some sort of sniper/lone wolf rambo kit. Not a disguised infiltrator. Maybe I understood it incorrectly.

It would also make defense bit more challenging and maybe more rewarding if you could search for these guys sneaking in the back.

Don't get me wrong, I know what you think here. I don't want to see this game going that way, but I see a point of having such option in the game making it better. Anyhow, as said just a suggestion. The thrill of walking with the enemy group hoping not to get spotted was something I've not experienced in the other games, that I would like to see again with my favorite game.

I'm sorry that I have to respond in a negative way to you again, but basically you suggest a spec ops kit, be it with pistol and binocs only. the spec ops kit has been declared non-negotiable by the dev's and frankly a kit with only pistol or binocs is pretty useless.
I understand you want this spec ops kit to furfill a sort of informer/saboteur role on the battlefield. because of not working tags the succes of such a role would rely more on the stealth of the individual player than the usefullness of his loadout. so basically you can do this already, you don't need a special kit for sneaking through enemy lines.

just to make you understand: the reason why spec ops kits were banned from pr was that they lead to lone-wolfing, which is understood to decrease teamwork, and because spec ops units are not your regular grunts.
you suggestion conflicts with both reasons because sneaking through the map on your own isn't the best form of teamplay and I truly doubt saboteurs or informers find themselves in the middle of a modern battlefield.

the use of stealth when commanding squads is actually encouraged, but that's on a six-basis and requires a lot of teamwork. if you want to recon, either form a recon squad with a squadleader and a sniper and inform your team of enemy presence and movement, or form a squad and try to flank your enemy when you attack CP's.

I might sound a little harsh, I'm sorry if I did ;)

Don't worry, I understand your points and I also do hope that this game keep enforcing teamwork importance. Having one limited kit for such role can't ruin the team work but could really affect efficiency of the mortars. Pair of eyes guiding the fire at the site. Could make it even too effective who knows.

Anyhow, I think this is clear now and the topic ain't correct for continuing this conversation so I'll quit it here.

Thank you for your answers Wakain.

hype and PR shouldnt co exist . . usuialy when there is a new aspect of PR . . it usuialy take a while for it to be devoped . . . suchas MAPs . . SANGIN was a huge hype map but never got released .. . along with some vehicles that were decidded to be unuseful and wernt added to PR . . . so PRV yes it sounds Fun but when it is released it will be big for a while but will quickly turn into a third world mod. even though it is PR

And some of the devs still wonder why I insist so much of keeping my projects under wraps until the very last minute....
Redamare wrote:SANGIN was a huge hype map but never got released .. .
But Sangin was released: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f380-p ... -beta.html

But in all seriousness, Sangin is still in development, in fact I've been working my *** off the last month and will still be some time yet in making statics for it.

What you need to understand about Sangin is that its first of all, a huge undertaking. Its a 4km map with huge amounts of detail in it and its not like any other map in PR currently. [R-DEV]Dr Rank also doesn't have that much free time to work on the map, hence why its taken so long. He has basically had to give up gaming totally and every bit of free time he gets (which isn't a lot) puts into the map.

Now comments like yours are not doing anything to help and if you want to understand how hard it is to make a map, let alone a map on the scale of Sangin, try making one yourself.

The project has not been scrapped, it is still very much in development and Sangin will be released when its ready!

Thank you for your constructive comments...
