about 880m/s using Federal 69-gr. Match, in my STG556e4(16in bbl), i dont know how much that would help because its not exactly the F88

http://www.madmick3006.com/AHN/Handload ... l_Ammo.pdf
see here.

f1 65gr ball is virtually the same as any other 556 round. it just holds together better at higher temps.

the 77gr round being tested for the EF88dmr is a different story.

specs as of my knowledge 2010. EFY

Thales Australia?s 5.56 mm F1 ball ammunition
meets the essential design parameters of the
NATO STANAG 4172. It can be used in all 5.56
calibre NATO weapons and is comparable to
other in-service natures such as the FN SS109
and US M855 ball cartridges. The projectile
comprises of a hardened penetrator and a lead
slug enclosed in a gilding metal jacket.

Length of complete round 57.4mm (Max)
Projectile weight 4.0g
Projectile velocity (V24) 915 + 10 m/s
Chamber pressure Kistler 6215 transducer < 405 MPa (Avg)
Accuracy Avg Std Dev < 100mm in both horizontal and vertical planes @ 300 m
Action time 0.003 s (Max)
Propellant Type Single base solvent propellant
Temperature range -54?C to 80

Special features
Our 5.56 mm F1 ball ammunition is
manufactured at Thales Australia?s
Benalla munitions facility and is
currently in use with the Australian
Defence Force (ADF) in the Austeyr
individual weapon and F89 Minimi light
support weapon.
Thales Australia?s 5.56 mm F1 ball
ammunition employs a specifically
designed single base propellant with
very low temperature coefficient of
ballistics to ensure velocities and
pressures remain consistent within
variations in ammunition temperature
and altitudes.
The propellant has extreme clean
burning characteristics and is an
excellent replacement for those
propellants that exhibit weapon fouling

HangMan: BF2 Editor, it has very strict limitations memory wise, and crashes all the time. Its like a girl. Treat it with respect and take it slow and you'll get places. Rush and get ahead of yourself and it will turn around and punch you in the mouth

considering how many different systems the ADF actually use, this is really very discreet, not included are any of the thermal and NV systems or any of the "user modifications" sometimes seen amongst those non conformists from recon and pioneer units.

you have no idea what these clowns do with their rifles.

Yeah, this gun is sexified further by the work and unwaivering craftsmanship of all contributing parties.

And with this post, I claim my rightful place among those ranks.

Tonnie, you truly make me proud to be playing a game that is over 6 years old. If I ever go down under
neath the worlds skirt I will certainly buy you a drink.

That is unless Chuc gets jealous and beats with with his chin-fist.

Do you happen to have a link or a pic to one of those "non-conformist" designs?
A short google search didn't show up anything more custom than Tonnie's masterpieces.

I'll give a few examples:
  • Idiotic optics (See RAAF Airfield Defense Guards putting high powered rifle scopes on short-barreled F88's)
  • The tacticool mag near the ejection port
  • And I can't find it, but a CO taping DPCU scraps to his rifle including over the barrel.

well, contrary belives a long barrel mostly improoves the bullets kinetic energy and not its accuracy

That guy is Darren Hoare, who was killed in Baghdad in 2009 while working with a PMC. He was killed by fellow team member Daniel Fitzsimons. He was a stud of the highest order.

This s nice,
I thought that Australian faction would be not so interesting,
but they use Stery Aug as a main rifle .
Great !
