Regarding this video...

It's looking sweet. However I have 2 questions pouring in my mind after watching this and would be nice if Dune himself answered.

1 - Idk if it's because of the angle or the recording itself, but it looks like the napalm bombs take a few milliseconds at the time of impact to blow up. Could you enlight me on this?

2 - I remember that when the cocktail molotovs were taken out of the game was due to causing "suicidal kills". Meaning that it would count as the enemy taking suicide rather than being killed. Have you managed to overcome that?

That's incorrect. The biggest reason they were taken out is because it was incompatible with the AAVP7 (it would kill the passengers).

Ooohh, thanks for the info. I heard something about suicidal kills or something at the time, but this was all in-game talk, so yeah.

Not much is left to squeeze from this thread now. I rewatched the video and more and more it gives me the impression that the bombs do explode exactly at impact.

I guess the only observation I would do is that 2 bombs of napalm don't seem to have a significant coverage. Carpet bombing of the kind would seem way more effective to delay the advancement of an enemy line. Not sure if that's possible without making everyone lag, considered an overkill or it would be required a vehicle of higher dimensions that is not compatible with the current map sizes.

Another question, are the airplanes going to be able to actually fly like that in game or are they going to have to do the high altitude thing like they do in normal PR because of the threat of .50cal or whatever from the ground.

My guess is that it depends on the pilot: to acuratly bomb the enemy you will need to fly low because these things are not laser guide like in PR. Then again I don't know what the AA fire will be like.

the amount of tree's in vietnam maps probably makes it easier to "pop-up" a little more unexpected. prop-planes are also slower and easier to control so flying (really) low is more of an option, I guess
