Re: [Vehicle] ASLAV / ASLAV-PC
Snazz: its possible to have the players looking through them, if you get in a BRDM you'll see small holes in the side (that you can see through, and shoot in from outside), however the vision blocks work on periscopes (mirrors) which probably isnt possible in the engine.
It would be more wise to have the vision blocks as a flat texture on the inside, similar to the reflection we see on scopes in game, and give the soldiers the ability to look around like you can in the AAV, LAV-III (and in the next patch, the Stryker)

Best bet is to set it up like BRDM driver has it, i.e. as two different "weapons". slot 1 for vision of the inside (if its modelled) and slot 2 for looking through the periscope or whatever it is.

Good start
Ah...seems Aussies have the tradition to name their vehicles.
Frenchies do this too. (though, the names are those of won battles, and yes if you wonder, there are plenty of vehicles in the French army. :razz

In Aus, we name our vehicles after the first letter of the squadron.
So, BSS or PR?

I think it should be named Charon like the ferryman in Greek mythology. I think it fits the vehicle very well because Charon "transports" the newly dead into the underworld

Tim has kindly agreed to allow the members of the BigD gaming community (home of Australasian PR) to decide on the name by popular vote.
Thanks again Tim

Re: [Vehicle] ASLAV / ASLAV-PC
is the ASLAV going to be just a reskinned LAV-25? because IRL the ASLAV and LAV-25 are essentially the same vehicle based on a Canadian design that was later updated for the LAV-III, Stryker and NZLAV.
also is that a CROWS turret on top of the ASLAV-PC?

Canadian Forces: either stand behind them or feel free to stand in front of them.
