[AAR] My first taste of SL

Post by SharpShooter13971 »

A TALE OF FAIL on my part

After half a round of getting pounded as an insurgent on Fallujah West i was relieved to get some AAS on Kashan. I've only set my mic up a week ago and just broke out of the quiet shell. I joined up in an infantry squad with a good deal of players and a SL who seemed to have a plan. We took the BH to North Bunkers and set up a FOB...which was blown to bits by an APC in the hills which plagued the match. I had taken the HAT and skimmed it, but the range allowed it too back up and avoid my missle. Our SL couldn't take it anymore and disconnected leaving me as the SL. Instead of just leaving the squad or putting the pressure on another SM, I took it as an opportunity. We got reorginized and rebuilt the FOB and I marked an enemy FOB and the APC(made me like I contributed). I requested air support but it never came. As reinforcments started coming in from the FOB I started to feel like I was doing a good job, until the APC began firing on us again. I didn't know what orders to place or how to get the APC out of the way while being peppered with APC fire and SM's requests. Oh and I didn't get mumble up right. As I foolishly moved foward to get a better view at some infantry I got killed and I rage quitted. My SMs were great but I couldn't lead them :( . More practice or experience would do me good.

I was playing on Tactical Gamer

Thats the best way to learn IMO. Everyone thinks it's so easy until they have to do it. Just keep at it bro. Good Luck.

Kashan is hell for any first time SL in my opinion, too big with too many vehicles for fresh meat. If it had been my first or second match I might have been more composed to handle it.

No offense take by the way, HAT isn't my specialty but my SL thought a little experience was enough. It's games like this though that make me love PR
