(I had this experience on the NWA server.)
I had just been deployed in Laskar Valley in Pakistan as a NATO solider. My squad was the last to be deployed in the battle as we had already destroyed 4 caches having 3 left until we could of gotten out of that hell-hole. I spawned at an A6 FOB in the western mountain range, I quickly got my marksman kit together and then started my long hike to D7 where my squad leader had told me to be position there.
It was only about 400 meters away but I sure nervous crossing B6/7 C6/7, for I saw an enemy motor bike parked right outside of a compound less than 50 meters away from me. I finally start climbing the hill being only less than 50 m from my destination. I finally reach my position and start searching the area with my binoculars looking for any type of infantry. Just after a few minutes of scanning the area, in an E5/6 compound I see 2 enemy infantry make their way out from a building an into the road up north. I report this to my SL and then he informs the other squad leaders on mumble. Since the entire team is occupied with assaulting the known cache, my SL makes his way to the reported position of where the enemy came from.
I soon observe 3 more infantry come from the compound. I put the clues together and BAM, 1+1=2, leading me to the conclusion that there was an unknown cache there. I tell my conclusion to my SL and he tell the other SL's of what possibly might be in the E5/6 compound. By now my SL has crossed the river and is moving into the compound. I give him overwatch as he checks every single building. The last one is a barn like house with stacks of hay. As he walks in the door he shouts with excitement that he found the cache. I too feel very proud of myself as I found my very first unknown cache all by myself.
As I start bragging to the other team about we just found their unknown cache, I see about 4 enemy infantry members crossing the bridge north just 100 meters from the compound where my SL was placing grenades to blow up the cache. I tell this to my SL and he gives me the word to open fire. After just 2 shots, they scramble for cover. I keep surpressing them as my SL made a run for the south. The grenades take out the cache just as the enemy squad makes it into the compound. My SL and I regroup back at the A6 FOB. With just one cache left and having the reward of being relieved from duty by our commander, we hitch a ride back to back on a transport huey.
All in all my SL and I had coordinated very well to take out that cache on our own. We had a 3rd squad member join us as we got back to base but he could tell he just missed out on a great mission.
