Nah PR BF2 didn't die at all, couple of days ago there were 650 people playing at the same time and now there are like 550.. and still PRA2 has around 300 people playing.

You can't judge anything just after a release. Give the community a few months to settle down.

I probably won't be playing the ARMA2 mod. It looks too jumpy and glitchy, sort of like a graphics sample engine that doesn't have well polished gameplay. BF2 is old and simple, but feels much smoother.

What is the problem anyway? I see almost 10 full servers right now.

IT ISNT DEAD. Its just sleeping lol.
I have seen soooo many threads going. PR IS DEAD.
That its just getting old. perhaps a new rule should be made.
No more "Is PR dead?" Or "PR is dead" threads.

It's not dying. The quality is just very, very poor.

Basically you're saying PR isn't as good as it used to be because... it got popular?

I don't think that's what he is saying. Its just getting old I feel the same why. I love the game and it is hands down the best game out there I've just been playing it for to long and need a break to remember how much better it is than shitty codShockUnitBlack wrote:Basically you're saying PR isn't as good as it used to be because... it got popular?

Like a zombie, you never know if PR is dead or just waiting.
My problem is just that PR got... old. The gameplay makes it hard to have exciting rounds.

Re: PR BF2 Died a bit :(
It is to be expected that many PR:BF2 players are trying out PR:ARMA2, I would be worried if they where not
But saying that, many of the players trying PR:ARMA2 may prefer PR:BF2 for its content and/or different game play dynamics, although mainly I think players will be put off from PR:ARMA2 from the clunkiness of how your avatar moves about.
As such while many players will be trying the new release etc, many will come back and I expect most people will keep both PR:BF2 and PR:ARMA2 installed and play both from time to time for which ever suits there mood more and its going to be a long time yet before PR:ARMA2 can catch up with the amount of content PR:BF2 has been building for the last 5 to 6 years, and still is building
So to summarize, PR:ARMA2 isn't going to kill PR:BF2. I can see many PR:BF2 players staying with PR:BF2 for a long time yet. Most of the community thought ARMA1 would kill PR:BF2 when it was first released but the player base which went off to try ARMA1, mostly returned and PR:BF2 still has a much larger player base than the game that was meant to kill PR:BF2 which many of our community members predicted at the time
To clarify I'm also not saying don't try PR:ARMA2 or don't play it, you all should if you can and play the version you prefer or best of all, keep playing both. At the end of the day both mods are aiming to archive the same thing, its up to you to play which ever one you enjoy the most

Well of course people will try out arma 2 right now. But I'm done with that. Arma2 is **** compared to the BF2 engine, and I'm sure more people will realize that very shortly and come back to BF2. Sure, pr devs might be able to fix it, I don't know. Maybe after PR .7 or .8 it will be playable but until then, I'm gonna stick to PR:BF2

TBH , im sick of such comments . Agreed that its not giving the feeling as it used to but its not because of the quality is low anymore , its because ,it was the first time you ever played pr which took you away from yourself and felt like a god . I had the same feeling , i even remember which map and faction i was playing on . Think about it , do you have the same feeling when you first touch your hands onto a fresh game cd when it gets a bit older . I'd say no hence it's so alive and growing stronger !saXoni wrote:It's not dying. The quality is just very, very poor.
