[Video] Emergency landing, how often does that happen?

Post by xazper »

Burning Sands on the *NwA* Server tonight. This never ever happens (to me) so I thought I'd share:

Project Reality 0.97 Burning Sands emergency landing - YouTube

Still surprised I actually survived. It was kind of close there.

Technically that didn't really seem like an emergency landing. More like a crash-landing. If it wasn't just a plain crash!

But cool video nonetheless! Its always fun surviving that as a pilot and trying to make it back home or staying alive for a pick-up!

Well yeah "technically" it's more of a crash landing... Point is it went down rather quick

Twice yesterday on shijia

Apache went critical after taking AA fire.

First one we made it back to base with fire coming out of the exhaust and made it
SEcond one we lost all thrust over power plant, landed on the road, had alogi coming to fix us up but the z10 took us out

i wouldn't think its that common .. . and crash landing that is survivable . . .depends upon how high up the aircraft is.

Can't remember the last time I had to do an emergency landing. If my chopper is still flying, I'll still head for the nearest helipad.
But if the chopper is broken, and it keeps descending, I'll try to land it as soft as possible.
