[Video] Project Normandy (Closed Beta Test) Community Event

Post by AurianTitan »

I saw Afterdune on Xfire and his message was speaking of Project Normandy. I asked what it was and he said it was a WW2 addon to Project Reality so I went on and tried it out. Pretty cool and very very hard lol.

Pretty epic vid, Aurian. Love the cellphone going off :D .

The US should've assaulted the beach objectives as a big blob, instead of squads doing their own thing. Think that would've made quite the difference.

Got lots of things that can be improved, so I'm gonna work on that I suppose...

what a great SL you had there.....

this is the best or worst teamwork map on PR, if US don't co ordinate they'll all die, if the Germans don't sort out a full defence with response units in vehicles they're screwed too.

Also AD, the mortars are really effective with this type of gameplay! :-D

MG42 is one hell of a weapon, and scary too.
I swear it was awesome oh and also... I recorded some of it xD

NOTE: This video clip is 38 mins or something long, and in HD :) + Dont mind the "black" FOB. As its a video issue, I know how to solve it but just haven't reached to yet :)

Good vid though, nice to see this from the German side!!

Lol, I was wondering about the english voices.... why you didn't have the ones I put in. But now I get it, you're German and since I'm hearing the english voices, you have english VO for every faction ;) .

First time I get to see or hear myself in a PR video, thanks : P (at the beginning of the round, starting 6.20 or something on the american side)

Later, my squad were responsible in holding Fox objective for a long period of time, so we take credit in you dying miserably in minute 15.30 and generally for americans avoiding that sector.

Curious to see how this plays out with 128.

EDIT: LOL and as soon as I type this, I can see myself on the german side too. We were definitely the best squad in that team until americans overran Fox (we disbanded). Thanks for recording uss-finest.

I just wet myself. This could finally sate my long standing desire to re-live my decade past nostalgia for 23/7 Charlie servers from Day of Defeat classic.

Im hoping for more mumble usage during the next test :/.. Sadly As you see on the mumble overlay, no one is speaking + only half of the team was on mumble..

This shall be better next time :)

Jesus.. do want! I hope this goes open beta soon, I've been a massive fan of FH2 for ages, and with PR involved this could be the best of both worlds.

Yeah, it was a fun map. Just needs more people and a little more organization so we can fill up the Higgins boats when we hit the beach head. Can you try hosting it on the 128 player server? I would love to see that! And also, can you make it soon? xD
