Hi all
Just a Question I would like to throw out there for a Clarification........
If several players on the Server have very high Pings say 300+ will it Lagg out the Server ??
I have always thought this is one big reason why a server can lagg out...true or false ??
I see text in chat about booting the HIGH PING players.
I Myself personally would never log onto a server with over 150 Ping.
Well, maybe up to 200 if it was the only one open or with a fair amount of players in it.
So, I guess my question is if high ping players do indeed lagg servers and your "Awesome mod" puts 128 Players in the server pushing the Net limit. Why not put a limit on the Player pings for entry/auto booting so the server does not lagg out.

P.S. thanks again for the mod..it is AWESOME

Re: Player PING vs Server lagg
Players with high ping do NOT lag the server. That's a myth and players love to stick to it..
The only thing you have with high-pingers is (depending on how the game handles it though) that their movement is a bit jumpy. And for them it's vice versa, your movement is jumpy.
A player having a high ping does not make the server lag at all. It gets a bit annoying if a player has a high ping, because (also depending on how the game handles it) of his jumpy movement, you can't tell for sure where the player really is and therefor could be hard to hit him. And again, he'll have the same problem with you.
As this can be very annoying, admins tend to kick high pingers to keep gameplay fun for everyone.
This all depends on how the game handles high ping. Sometimes the game tries to compensate things for you, so you don't notice the jumpy-ness that much. For example, it sort of "predicts" where the player is going, so it's less jumpy.

Well, thanks for the Reply......
So, what im getting out of this is....player ping is then really a choice of the SERVER ADMIN....if they wish to limit player ping for auto boot...this will help the player w/ good ping have a better in game experience.
