I thought the object of PR was to stay alive and secure positions (AAS/INSURGENTCY/ECT.).... Not to get the best k/d ratio.... or even kills in general. The best rounds that I have had generally resulted in a team victory, me at first place with little to no kills.

Think with you head and the map, not with your rifle. And ofcourse hands down follow server rules and your SL even if he's wrong, or you don't agree. (That is afcourse unless your SL tells you to break server rules.)

Damn I love this game.

And the squad leader said it's ok to shoot if they shoot first.

I only broke the server rules once the enemy had broken it first and i fired in self defense
I'd say you had a valid reason to shoot. You shot only because he shot first and you fired back to defend you and the squad. I think you did the right thing.

Was he doing the right thing in exposing himself to the enemy main when the only reason you'd do this is to exploit the game mechanics?

Even in Fallujiah minaret you can stay out of sight of Ins main. There's no excuse to either fire in or out of main, because the problem of someone looking in should be reported to an admin if it crops up meaning nobody fires anything.

Even global chat 'Whos the guy looking into our main, get down' should have the desired result.

Then why didn't you move a bit North-East over the street where you can clearly see the exit of their main perfectly fine without looking straight into it?

lol'd, marksman high up in the open gets spotted by an SPG in the ins main base. SPG gunner thinks, he's aiming at me he's going to shoot jnto main. Cheeky F#@*ker I'll have him. Fires SPG kills marksman. Marksman fires kills SPG gunner.
Marksman looses his side 2 tickets and a limited kit, gives away his squads position and has to spawn at some fob and try to get back to his squad.
SPG gunner spawns back at main jumps back in the SPG and goes on his way. No ticket loss just a big "I killed a nub marksman" grin on his face.

Rules arn't there just for you they are there for every one, breaking rules instead if clmbing down from the tower just shows what disregard you have for you squad and team. Also a very narrow amount of situational awareness, then you come on the forum with that as a thread title, may be PR isn't for you, I'm sure many will agree.

If you shot first, you'd be alive. And would he admit to shooting out of main? You saw he was gonna do it.

You're my hero anyways. I'd still shoot at the civilian just to make their lives miserable. At least it will stall them from their nefarious deeds.

Too bad the squad leaders can't actually shoot squad members for disobeying orders. Or if team killers, instead of being banned, everyone is allowed to shoot them and they can't fire weapons or enter vehicles.

Wow, I am assaulting the rule of law and thinking like a war criminal.

Interesting. You broke the rules, you broke ROE and you came here to look for approval. And some people gave it to you. But those people think wrong like you do, and if this happens on my server, Id be happy to ban every single one of you. You heard this from server admin, and Im sure more admins think the same. Don't do this EVER.

i even share your point of view with this self-justice thing, but how can people think wrong? everybody has an own opinion. we are not living in a hierarchy where you can force them to think same as you, are we ;) ?

No we cant. But one thing is having an opinion and other thing is following rules. There is no democracy about that. Ask any administrator of anything ( forum, game server... ) they will tell the same. I'm pretty sure you're the admin too ;)

Why are you looking for places which you can use in advantage to get an overview of the enemy no-fire zone anyway?

If someone is firing out of a main, you have the right to fire back onto it. But, your SL said that you shouldn't shoot, so you shouldn't have.

Is this in your server I presume? Or real life, where the real lives of your real friends depend on it?

Dangerously close to a role playing answer that's all.

Oh I'm sorry. When I said shoot at civilians, I meant shoot AROUND them, just to give a little punishment.
