When you start it should come up with a box to enter your username, once you press OK it connects automatically.

When you are in-game and on mumble at the same time, it will move you without you having to change manually.

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with this new PR: Mumble 1.0.0

I press H or Num0, but teammates can't hear me.
Everything else seems to work fine, I get moved to the correct squad channel and can hear squad members talking.

I installed PR Mumble, launched it with elevated privileges, entered my nick, configured Mumble with the help of Audio wizard, and there troubles come:
Image
At this stage I can't hear myself speaking, as in vanilla Mumble. However, the bright green bar indicates that the mic is picking the speech.

Here are the input\output settings:

Configuration of the PC:
Windows 7 Pro x64
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio with latest driver.

Hey, first of all! Thank you for a fantastic update! Mumble is better than ever, I love it.

BUT! I discovered a "bug". If you remove the menubg.bik movie, Mumble will not link with BF2\PR.

On my gaming pc, in Battlefield 2\mods\pr\movies\ , I had deleted all movies except menubg.bik. So, I copied this file to the same folder on my laptop, (where I had deleted all movies, and mumble wouldnt link) and guess what, then Mumble linked!

Please include this info in the guide, I think more people have this problem!

Suddenly my mumble is acting weird:

it seems to be some kind of overflow that is causing problems.
Mumble reported an error during startup but eventually launched anyway, and I could play without any problems for a while. But then all of the sudden, it broke my BF2: my mouse was moving very slow (as if I had it on very low sens) for about one minute, before it make my BF2 freeze completely.

It happened a second time that same day, but after that it was fine. Just now however, mumble made my BF2 freeze again (although without the mouse issue this time). When I manually closed BF2 I saw that mumble had crashed as well.

Anyone else having trouble? I'll try reinstalling some time soon and see if that helps.

-128player sisu server scrambled sound on local when to many people talking
-128player sisu server scrambled sound on local when flying transport choppers( all the time, and i'm not alone with this). Squad (leader)channel works fine.
- mostly(and always on 128player sisu server) scrambled sound between maps and loading screens.
Yes even more so now it's up to 200 sometimes getting hard to hear someone next to me, whereas on a 64 it's fine.

Since you can hear others, your outout is fine. And you will hear yourself i the wizard, if mumble gets input from your mic. The green bar can go up and down some even without a mic connected. Can you get it into the RED?

You can ofc try default device. What other (input) options do you have? Have you tried all of them? The input-setting you are using now only gives you audio from the mic that you have plugged into your soundcard, is it connected to the correct hole? Have you tried the holes in the front AND back if the computer?

Hang in there you'll find the reason why it's working, it's most likely something very simple.

If all other fails buy the cheapest USB mic you can find.

PR Mumble started making problems few days ago, WITHOUT any reason; I haven't messed around with ANYTHING, it just won't connect to PR. Everything worked just fine for months, and now suddenly won't connect when I start it. Tried to: run it as admin, run it before entering PR, run it after I join server and spawn, restarting it, reinstalling it again, this time clearing it out from registry, still nothing. My friends had same problem with Mumble, starting it, and all it does is put them in Root, not connecting to game, but after some time it started working normally. Help, please.

I have got Problems too, my first account is Channel Administrator (Knallkopp_02) in Mumble but he would not switched automaticly. The account connects to the old channel he was, like it is correct in Mumble if you are registred and i can switch him by hand to other channels.

The secont account is working good. He is not registred.

Thank you for your reply, Himalde.
Recently I got a new PC with Realtek ALC892 embedded sound, so now I don't have any intention to run PR on my old one. ;-)
However, if you are interested in examining this bug (if it is one), I can test it on the old PC. But only in a week or so.

One issue I haven't worked out yet... It is all very good having private channels with other squad leaders, however, how can you tell which squad leader is talking to you when it comes through your headphones? I often struggle replying because I can not find out which squad contacted me.

Take a look at the mumble ingame overlay.
Correctly configured it shows the people who are talking and their squad number:
Might wanna use Rivers preconfigured version.
