Re: Weapon Suggestions
There is no US counterpart, except Garand with scope but those were probably also uncommon and probably used on the pacific... For balancing reasons better to leave them out, but i just wrote down all the weapons i could think of and where would i put them.
"Though most G/K43's are equipped with a telescopic sight mounting rail, the vast majority of the rifles were issued in their standard infantry form without a scope."

Re: Weapon Suggestions
Instead of Marksman we will have a "Recon" kit, normal rifleman kit but with binoculars in it.

Re: Weapon Suggestions
Marksmen existed, at least if you define marksman as a soldier directly attached or part of an infantry squad who is armed with a telescopic sighted rifle to engage high priority targets in support of his squad. I would just have one sniper class though and let it act as a marksman, it's more useful than lying on some hill in the middle of nowhere taking potshots anyway. The Americans for example had 1 Springfield sniper rifle per platoon which was to be issued to whoever was the best shot. The scoped M1C Garand was used in limited numbers starting in 1945.
Germany mass produced "acog" style scopes for the K98k, to be used in a marksman role (1,5x ZF41), however, snipers tended to shun them because of the low magnification. Still they were the most produced scoped weapon of WW2 IIRC. Certain German organisations also specified that there were up to 1 scoped automatic rifle per squad, however that was rarely achieved due to supply shortages and such.
If you would ask me this would be my list:

Will take that list into consideration if we happen one day have all those weapons.

Re: Weapon Suggestions
Nice comprehensive list TS.
For crewman though i would put MP40/Grease Gun for driver& gunner, alternative crewman would be commander and would have binocs and only 1911/P38 and cannot operate drivers or gunners seat.

That list is far from comprehensive.

Re: Weapon Suggestions
This isnt FH2 so i tried to keep it simple but you extended it threefold, so that is rather comprehensive in regard to mod size as it is. (Only one map, only Rangers/Para vs Ill/Good equipped Wehrmacht.) Yes you could go in details like proper tanks models for different era, SS, US Parachute Infantry, US Glider Infantry, Fallschrimjaeger and their respective assets provided...

US paratroops didn't have more M1 Carbine? Only officers?

Re: Weapon Suggestions
They had the M1A1 Carbine with the folding stock, but their main weapon still remained the M1 Garand. Carbines were given to squad leaders and other people who weren't in a direct combat role but might need a personal defense weapon. A bit like the skorpion for PRs militia.Pvt.LHeureux wrote:US paratroops didn't have more M1 Carbine? Only officers?
