Annoying night...Team Switching
Love the new add-on, thanks guys, but my first night playing it was ruined by being denied the chance to play as USA.
After each round of playing as the Nams I eagerly awaited the next round to test out playing as the USA, only for me to be switched back to the Nams. This was all night, not once did I get to try the other side.
Was it a freak occurrence? Why me? Maybe because as a newby I came in at or near the bottom? Does that determine who gets switched on an unbalanced server?

I recommend you tell the server operator, most admins do not look kindly on constant switchers since it interferes with the flow of the game

I can't remember the servers. Didn't realise one could choose to switch, thought it was automated by server settings. Only happened at start of game, but a full night playing as same faction isn't appealing, in fact it's bloody annoying.

Bunch of experienced slaughter killing the other side which make up of noobs and newbies.

That's made me feel even more sick if that's the case Arnoldio. I hope their servers lay un-played.

Just change a server to play with.
If the admin see this post, they will do some adjustment for sure.

SO this happens a lot in PR?
You know, since I came back to PR, which I did because I bought a new rig (?800) which was bought purely to play PR's two mods, I've noticed how the gameplay has declined so much. Last night there was a retard TKing at base on Muttrah. It took several rounds of squad jumping before I found one that had a SL that spoke on VOIP.
A couple of years ago when I first started playing this game, you couldn't find a squad that allowed you stay in it if you didn't have a working mic. You'd get kicked for straying away from the squad, now it's mostly all Burger King players.
I'd have a word if I was you PR bosses, you sold PR to me as the game for 'teamwork and realism'.

Sorry, but leaving a server to join an empty one or keep refreshing a full one waiting for a free slot, isn't my idea of entertainment.Jolly wrote:Don't be so extreme mate! Relax!

All depends on what servers you play on. The best servers will switch people around to ensure balance, and constant end of round switchers get removed.

Only in those cases it will happen:
1, The server admin is happy to see unbalance of game(just suicide!!)
2, Server is full of noobs and newbie, which makes server one BF2 server.(It's always happening)
Try TG, PRTA or Nwa ect, Those server are perfect.
Avoid Chinese server, too much noobs and newbies and they speak Chinese only.
If you live in EU, there are plenty of servers.
How I envy you.......

Re: Annoying night...Team Switching
switching normally isnt a big deal. just wait until teams are even, then try. Your best bet is to switch when the other team has one less player than the one your on. or just request the admin to switch you

I feel for you on that regard. I played on a couple of Latino and Russian servers and being lingually isolated is frustrating.
Love how the Germans, Dutch and Scandies mix their own language and English in game. Chinese speakers are difficult to understand when they're even speaking in English, as are Scousers.

What Jolly suggested is perfect.Rapid12 wrote:I feel for you on that regard. I played on a couple of Latino and Russian servers and being lingually isolated is frustrating.

DOWNLOAD MUMBLE. Just do it, it's f*cking stupid to not have it now in PR. It's better than VOIP and VOIP is disabled on some servers.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f196-p ... 1-0-a.html
So if you want a good PR experience WITH mumble, join those servers :
PRTA
NwA
CIA
NEW
SISU (128 players server)
You could join TG too, but most of the time the server is full of clans and not alot of squads are open for non-clan members.

Perfect opportunity to ask without embarrassing myself. How the feck does one get Mumble to work? Do you just join it and regardless of the server you play in, you can talk to one another? Do you have to enter in each servers Mumble address? Do you do it in game, before you decide to join the server, or what? How does one determine the address for certain Mumble servers etc etc?
Mumble has confused the pants off me, including its stupid name. I mean, for a program that allows people to talk to each other, one which relies on audible clarity to succeed, why the feck call it MUMBLE? That's like calling a brand of ice-cream... warmcream, or a brand of chocolate bar...Dogshitzer or something.

I love the NVA side, I seem to be put with more " Professional " Soldiers, excluding when I end up with a bunch of Non-Talk people who ignore you even on text chat.Rapid12 wrote:Love the new add-on, thanks guys, but my first night playing it was ruined by being denied the chance to play as USA.

And I seem to do a lot of crazy things as NVA
However the NVA are easier to trick with kit switching, don't know why.

Off topic, but we don't always try to play with just clans, or anything. Plus, I think that CIA and TG are the only US ServersPvt.LHeureux wrote:

It doesn't Maverick. Is there any British based members here who could talk me through getting Mumble to work, via a phone call?
The instructions on here for Mumble are a tad complicated...for me.
