M14 advantages over M16?

I find the M14 more accurate, obviously because it was made to be more accurate, but also because of the iron sight and how thin it is.

M14 fires .308 whereas the M16 fires the .223. This makes a big power difference.

I personally prefer the M14's ironsights as well. Ironsights+same 20 round mag+auto 308= I wish all US rifles were M14s. In real life, both jammed fairly often. Of course, M16's jams were fixed in M16A1 version but still....

I personally prefer the M14.

Regarding vs. enemy rifle, it has little bit more power than SKS due to 7.62x51mm instead of 7.62x39. Considering SKS is semi, only thing AK47 has on M14 is 10 rounds more in mag from what I've noticed.

It's not a little, but a lot more power behind the 7.62 NATO compared to the 7.62x39. 7.62x39 peters out at 300m, 7.62 NATO can go to 600m.

M14 just feels manlier. I feel sorry for the people at the receiving end. If they survive, they get to hit back when I'm reloading.

M16 front sight is much better in PR:V than in regular PR.

It would be nice if the M16 could also jam or simply not work.

I like the M14 mostly because of its large round, useful at long and short ranges. Also the rate of fire is neither 600rpm or 1200rpm but 720rpm, the perfect rate of fire to bring the gun back on target between rounds on full auto

As a side note, PR's 7.62x39mm round used by the AK-47 and SKS isn't modelled correctly - its performance is identical to the 7.62x51/54mm rounds fired by the M14, M60, PKM, G3, etc, etc (in real-life it shold be closer to the 5.56x45mm).

So basically AK-47>M14 due to its 30 round clip and superior control.

Are you sure ? One hit from M14 (close range) makes you see B&W instantly et doesn't even let you enough time to get your field dressing. I never experienced this with AK/SKS shots.
