Ye, its called forward basing and its one of the big advantages STOVL aircraft bring since it means many roads, bombed out airstrips and even as per above, flat areas which can be made into airstrips are potential runways, increasing response times drastically but is quite a big logistical operation to get it sorted, but proved itself as an effective strategy in quite a few wars.AquaticPenguin wrote:On a different note, Until recently I hadn't realised there was a small harrier airstrip set up on the islands. Any plans for adding the Blowpipe MANPADS? It sucked balls so you can just give it the code of the current Strela in PR lol
