Make a Vietnam Beta 3: a final installer of the Vietnam minimod. No patch, a full installer. This will then (hopefully) get people to play Vietnam some more until PR v1.0 arrives.
I'm fine with that if there's enough demand. But don't expect miracles: there will just be some (small) bugfixes.
it depends, in my opinion, based on this thread, beta 3 appears to be meant more as an incentive to keep people playing vietnam or attract new players rather than be an actual update (bugfixes are always welcome, but is prv so broken that it warrants an update for bugfixes?)
still, I'd vote yes as prv would probably be overlooked when 1.0's released, which brings me to my other point: I wouldn't do it if 1.0 is not far away, less than a month or so (highly doubt it but still, it's something to take into account).

My thoughts exactly, community will forgive a long wait once they see the overall payoff
Dont forgett to make more commercials, on moddb and PR-Main Page. So that everyone see it who is not so involved in PR. Or it will have the same killing effekt like Beta2.
I think the problem with Beta 2 was, that only a few people can download it via Updater, thats why Beta 2 was not played.
A Beta 3 may shows up more bugs and problems like in Beta 1. Beta 2 isn't played enough to see if there are problem. And if there are bugs they could be fixed for PR 1.0.
@ChallengerCC:
the advertisement for new versions is verry important, thats right.
@devTeam:
Maybe you could delete the old informations ingame that are shown as news, newest Beta for Vietnam, Normandy, Falklands and the mappack for PR is enough. Too many informations confuses the people.
Maybe color the news for each minimod. Sometimes i did not register, that there are different announces.
white = PR, blue = Normandy, green = Vietnam, red = Falklands for example
i vote yes because i personally want more PRV, however there are good points being made about why not to do it. If you have inside info on 1.0's release date, you may want to consider timing of the release. If its near i would release it as a bundle with 1.0 and advertising it as fully integrated into the main mod. this will give it more attention from the community as a serious part of PR and may garner more frequent involvement in regular servers.
due to the separated nature of previous PRV releases, only servers that wanted to specialize in PRV maps really had them in the rotation with the exception of ones like CIA Kokan & Napalm.
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.
Vietnam will be integrated into v1.0 regardless (it already is btw).
The point of a Beta 3 would only be to draw attention to Vietnam now, so everyone that wants to can play it without being confused by updaters and patches - until v1.0. The rest is as Knallkopp describes it.
It's a waste of time really. Even if it takes an hour to do, it's pointless. The main servers that are populated right now will not waste time trying to get it into the rotation as many people don't want to play it or because they didn't update. If you do want to see more vietnam until 1.0(when everyone has it and it's hopefully in normal server rotation) then you need events. Not a new version.
