PR Mumble Squad Chat not working

I've had alot of issues with PR mumble, and I'm not the only person, but recently, No one can hear me in squad chat, my mic is fine, and local works too. It was working when the World War 2 event was going on and then stopped working by itself. Should I reinstall, or just throw it out the window? =P

Well, im actually gonna crash for the night, but when i DO reinstall, ill post an update here. Just did like 3-4 maps and its 4 30 am =)

Do you see the little speaker in the mumble box light up when you hit the squad chat button?

If not the button may not be mapped correctly?

Yeah, but people just cant hear me. >.<

They really need to name the function instead of having it just PR Comms, cause its really confusing to re configure the keys to my likes. Like squad 1, 2, 3, commander, squad etc

Nope, but still doesn't solve the issue that people can't hear me in squad chat

It sounds like you didn't search around the forums very much?

What color is the little speaker in the mumble box when you press the squad chat button?

What does the 'shortcuts' panel in mumble show for your squad chat button mapping?

Here is one solution to the same problem you have:

Deleting the Mumble folder from Roaming and reinstalling Mumble didn't help. But I FINALLY figured out what was wrong. When starting up mumble, instead of choosing the admin account from UAC, I decided to choose the non-admin account that I used then and what I always use. I had nothing to lose right? For my surprise, all the shortcuts were there in settings. When I ran it as an admin, there always was just the one shortcut in settings.

I tried it in-game, and obviously it didn't auto-connect to the correct channel because I wasn't running it as an admin.

So I uninstalled mumble, rebooted, and LOGGED IN with my admin account. Installed mumble with my admin account, and then logged in with my non-admin account. I set mumble to run as an adminstrator. Started mumble, chose admin account from UAC and ALL the shortcuts finally appeared in settings. Tested ingame, channel auto-connect works perfectly, and squad chat FINALLY works!

So looks like installing mumble via UAC from a non-admin account messes it up, at least for me it did.

The color comes up in purple, and I have it mapped to mouse button 4.

And I'd rather just wait for a patch then to do all the stuff in the solution, hopefully it'll be fixed in a next patch... IF there is one...

umm, I have not seen a purple speaker icon ever, just red or green(which it should be during local speech.)

Maybe you have a different mumble installed?
Suppose it doesn't matter since you just want a patch to fix it. <<insert patientBear>>

I dont know what it is but i cant get anybody to hear me no matter what. I can hear people talking to me but i cant talk to them. When i press Num pad 0 to talk to my squad, no green box appears, same with the local key "H". I've tried re installing it a couple of times but i just cant get it to work. Im not much of a wizard when it comes to tech stuff so if someone can help me out that would be fantastic because I really want to immerse my self in the PR experience. I have Turtle Beach X12 headphones if that is of any help. I want to thank you in advance for anyone that can help me. I also am using mumble 1.0

Hi TheChairman,
welcome to PR forums,

Install PRMumble while logged into a Windows Account with Administrator privileges.
Run PRMumble as an admin.
Start PRMumble before PR.
Run PR as an admin.

That usually fixes your problem.

Also, when you start PRMumble, go to config, then shortcuts, and check to see if your H and Numpad) shortcuts are int he list. DO NOT change any shortcuts in the list at this time, can cause additional problems.

Thanks for the reply, I do have Mumble as an administrator. But I installed Project Reality through Desura, I don't know if you have heard of it. So I can't run PR as an administrator. Do you think that could be the sole problem or is there anyway I can run PR as an administrator even though its through Desura? Again, thanks for the reply.

Let's start with the easy fixes,

1. start and connect to PRMumble.
Go to configure, Audio wizard.
Go through the wizard, see if PRMumble is "hearing" your microphone.

Ok, that could be a problem. When I talk into my mic in the volume tuning section, the bar does not move at all. Do you know how to fix the bar not moving? Thanks

Well, do some silly steps now,
1. is mic plugged in and turned on?
does it work in other programs?
2. in the PRmumble audio wizard, in the creen before the green bar, it allows you to select your Audio input device, Make sure you have the correct one selected.

Question: Do you have a USB microphone? IF yes, what model of mic?
