I've got mine to install and just had a quick looksie on Dragon Fly.

As what other people have said, it does have a bit of that 'burn your eyes' brightness, and on my computer at least it seems to reduce the quality of textures in game. It let me see more intricate details on the buildings in the city, but the challenger, my weapon, landrovers and statics all seemed to me to lose that little bit of neatness and made them look blocky and unattractive.

It also made the menus and start screens look strange, like i was on acid or something, and reduced my ingame FPS from around 24-26 to 15 or below.

Personally, i'll be removing it from my install.

-shiny menu problem
-PB problem
-random crash problem( this happend at me after 10 minute)

You are not a good programer.
1.Go to Battlefield 2 folder (where BF2.exe is)
2.click to date modified button
3.select the ones last time added
4.delete them

So simple :-P

If you want to be a little more cautious:
The mod adds new files to the directory, so because no existing files are overitten you can just delete them if you want to uninstall.

Just check the ENBPR.zip file for the names of the files the mod adds, look for them in the Battlfield 2 directory and delete them.

Had the same issue. Use the right side keyboard shift key.
Menu looks ugly, washed out. Uninstalled.

It causes an occasional slight flicker when moving at high speeds or looking at certain things, but I overall like it very much. And the menus just take a moment to accustom yourself to.

I have fixed the shiny menu issue by changing the ENB settings in the ENB.ini ! It's very simple. i'll share my changes for everybody tomorrow.

:p

It seems nobody there have the culture of the ENB injector (makes miracles with Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 etc.)

I advice you to put only "quality". High Quality is too greedy (one smoke ingame and you lag for sure)

I do not know how to change between "Quality" and "High Quality", that is what I am asking for help on.

LITOralis.nmd , have you tried setting the 1 to a 2 and check for FPS drops or changes?

Good job Phoenix_Idaho btw on fixing the shiny menu stuff, I haven't been able to get anywhere near the PC today but I'll keep on tweaking, see if I can get Kashan to be less bright.

static lightmaps really do look alot better with this, with brightness decreased a bit it would be lovely i think.

Thanks for the effort mate :)

I bet you can probably contact Boris @ EnbDev.com, he may have time to upgrade this old version or to at least fix alt-tab on Full screen issue.

I really like the visual enhancement although I did notice a drop in FPS from 40-50fps to 15-25fps on my low-end system.

It would be nice if regular PR would have this feature but with the option to turn it off for those whose computers struggle.

ENB's Ambient Occlusion do not works in this game , so don't change SSAO value in enbseries.ini ! however you can use NVIDIA Inspector to force Ambient Occlusion for BF2 !

Image

1-Run NVIDIA Inspector and click on the Driver profile setting icon .
2-Select Battlefield 2 profile .
3-Select Fallout3 Ambient Occlusion compatibility and apply the change .
4-Set Ambient Occlusion setting to Quality and Ambient Occlusion usage to Enabled and apply the changes !

So if you like ENB injectors and :
- you can bear ALT-TAB bug for a moment,
- you want Ambiance Occlusion,
- you want the SAM's ENB with less brightness,
- your graphic card is an Nvida one (for AMD graphic cards owners follow only 1 - 2 - 3 - 10 & 11 instructions)
- you can afford a loss of 10 -15 fps (if you don't, follow the procedure for AMD graphic cards owners)

There are my tips :

1 - Be sure you monitor is correctly balanced
2- Be sure you have the latest driver for your Graphic card
2 - Install SAM's ENB
3 - Open enbseries.ini and copy past the settings with the following ones

For doing that you only need to edit the enbpalette.bmp with a image editor software !
Here is a short descriptions from enbdev website :
"Colors from left to right of texture represent pixel colors of screen, for example left black means that original game black will be mapped to black. If it is green, then black pixels of game will be green. Colors from top to bottom represent screen brightness, upper means that overal game screen brightness is black (0) and bottom of the palette texture means that screen is white(256). So you can adopt colors depending from screen brightness"
I can fix it myself but right now my first priority is finding a solution for alt+tabing problem !
